Hey Julian you have helped me a lot with PIO work! But i have been noticing a lot of ur solutions stop at exploitable for 1% and that leads to 20 bb/100 + in some solutions have u noticed that the differences are really negligible from 0.25% and 1% thanks again for the vids

Can u give the example of those situations? I didn't really noticed it. Anyway we are not able to mimic pio strategy, so for me small differences in frequencies seems insignificant.

Raise Folding QJ seems to be a matter of bet/raise sizing. When BTN bets small 33% Pio apparently suggests a protection raise as long as pio doesn't feel pot committed. So changing Cbet size to 75% pio will not raise (@Bet66 and Raise45 it already raises only 20% of the time) and changing raise size to 75% pio will also not raise.
Pio makes always sense, somehow.

Hi Julian, with regard to the Q4s and your BB defense range:

How much of the suited hands not in your call range shown in PIO are 3bets? I assume all the 34s-95s etc but what about the T2s-T5s and 92s/94s?

Also curious as to why T8o is missing from the Tx off suit range? was this an error?

And you don't defend: 78o -K7o and worse off suit Kx?

Julian Kopanskiy 7 years, 2 months ago

Yes 34s-95s are 3bets, T5s also, other suited combos probably fold. He opend 3x, not so awesome pot odds for me. My standard strategy vs 3x size and 40% raise would be 3bet ~15% and call 35%, this seems to be enough to make his worse steals at least 0EV. What i found from my database that those K2-K6, and weak Qx are -EV calls. This depends a bit from rake, your skill and your opponent skill.

Thank you, the ranges u mentioned, there are also close to my frequencies but I need to 3b alot more as only 10% currently and folding 53%. But I see many people in my games folding BB v SB just 35-40% so wasn't sure if I was playing too tight, which I see I am by a little bit.
What would you say is good wr in this spot?

For me over last year ( 3728 instances) overall wr in bb is -21bb/100

When cold called wr = -46bb/100 (w$wsf 44%)
When 3b wr = +494 bb/100

The Q4s had again and PIOs OOP river call range. It folds KQ and Calls KT, what is the difference as they both block QT. I understand why KxQd would be a fold as this blocks much of IPs bluff range (FDs) but the other combos without a diamond?
