GregGT 12 years, 2 months ago5min KJo : Hi, Paul :) really dont like ur 3bet, especially on board with flush-draw. I guess it's better just to float him and call that ch/raise in position (especially when we have a backdoor nutflashdraw and some potential eqiuty). By the way such bet/call from us looks even more realestic than bet/flat3bet)
Paul Senter12 years, 2 months agoHi Greg, I still actually think the bet/3bet is better as I'm assuming you're intending on jamming over a bet on a turned spade, which is higher variance.. Also with my short stack I can have a pretty wide inducing range (happy to get any ace in v perceived air/flushdraw) and therefore don't get rebluffed here. I also don't think calling flop tightens the range of hands he wants to go with, as with this line I'm pretty sure they'll be inelastic.
GregGT 12 years, 2 months agoI plan not necessarily to shove over his bet on the turn) I assume that when we call ch/raise, he very often just shuts up almost all of his bluffs. And we just can take pot, betting standart not very large bet. Meanwhile, when u 3bet this Flop u dont secure yourself against flush-draw, cause he just can shove it over the top of your raise and you always will have to fold probably the best K-high hand. And in my option - we sometimes will get ch/call from him on Turn with his flush-draw and chech-check the River...and K-high WINSSS)))))
about balancing: I often will just call such ch/raise with AK, sets or smth like this) So dont see many problems here. Anyway when we call raise our range looks pretty strong. Really small amount of players can put us on pure float)
Paul Senter12 years, 1 month agoYe, don't disagree with anything you've said, and its certainly an option.. I just took the line I did because of my stack depth.
@7:30 w/77 - I disagree with range you gave him a bit, I think it would be pretty big mistake to shove A7o in this spot, as well it never makes sense to shove A6s and fold A5s-A2s :) Even if he's a weak player, if we include A6s in his range, we can easily include all Axs. Also tough to believe he would fold QJs, QTs and JTs. All in all, against 22+,A2s+,KTs+,QTs+,JTs,T9s,ATo+ we got 51,5%, so indeed looks like 77 is bottom of our calling range.
@9:20 - Same here, you say you would reshove A6s+. It doesn't make any sense to shove A6s and fold A5s-A2s, because we can propably safely assume he's folding 22-55, so our equity is the same (even slightly better for A5s-A2s because of straight possibilities) and we got same blocker.
I think I'd probably check back anything T+ and maybe call a river bet rather than betting and checking back. I'd bet everything below a T with the exception of 5/6 sometimes.
I would certainly look to steal more Vs a fish if I have a healthy stack. I'd probably be more cautious with 20x or less as he probably still has a fairly large peeling range which could make things tricky.

Hey Paul, great series, nice result!

Hi Ozzy. Thanks for tidying his range for me =) you are right for sure! Definitely pretty close 1, but ye just about have to go with it. And
Hi Paul, I really like your videos so far, it's clear, it makes sense and you're fun to listen!
@13:58 w/94s I like the check back on 847dd flop. How would you play the turn if it's a J,Q or an A instead of the brick 2?
Also, less specifically, does it affect your stealing tendencies to have a looser/fishier player in the blinds and how so?
Hi Ginzaboom, sorry for the delay!
