Just wanted to say I play mostly cash games, but I still take the time to watch all of your videos as well as videos from many of the other great tournament players on this site. I always learn a ton from your videos and really enjoy the way you think about the game. Thanks so much for making this awesome content!
Thanks for the video. I always love watching what you post here.
I'm just after 9 minutes and something looks very weird to me in the sim - on A84 mono there is a difference between K9hh and K9cc or dd, and also A2hh and A2cc or dd.
Feels like something is wrong with the sim. Do you have an idea for what is the reason?
I am not at home right now and can't look at the exact sim, but I'd imagine that PIO sees all three hands as being equal and only cares about your frequencies with all three combos combined and doesn't really care if you're unbalanced towards one combo. Also IP has very few hands that are marginal continues that have a K/9?2 in them such that they could continue some hands if IP always bets K9dd, but never K9hh.

From what I'm used to see in PIO if there is no reason at all for a combo over another it would just mix them all in the same frequency rather than choosing one combo high frequency and than not at all with the others
I also think in this way wye don't give IP any reason to have a ''better'' decision with any combo over another based on suites there, and makes more sense (to me at least)
I think in every mono flop I have ever ran it didn't use any of the other suites over another. will check it now.
Edit - I checked my previous 2 mono sims and indeed the non flush or flush drew cards are mixing all exact same frequency (for example on 972sss every Q5suited or K6suited or KQo no s is mixing the exact same frequencies between the different suites)
Edit 2 - Just now I completed watching the video. Love that you showed hands where you made mistakes and also the concept you presented beyond the technical element
I'll take a look once I'm back from Triton Jeju. It's possible I didn't let the sim run long enough, and the frequencies aren't perfect, but the shape should be accurate.

I looked at the sim and the PF weights in suits are balanced for OOP and IP. I reran the sim and for OOP still really likes betting with hearts for some reason. I wish I had a better explanation.
Now that that important piece of business is done. In the early part of the video you talk about delegating some time to rarish situations like 4b pots. Can you give some advise on how to figure out which spots are the most relevant or get the most information possible from these rare spots? I think aggregate reports are a great start.
17:35 You say that some people might not find the slowplay w AA because they're worried about a spade rolling off. Is this really still an issue in high stakes tournaments? If so I feel a lot better about a lot of games I play in.
Even at the highest stakes there are lots of pros who don't have a great technical understanding of the game and there are a lot of players with a strong technical understanding, but still blunder, myself included.
I hope people miss the point at 46. I ran into it studying recently and think it's awesome and worth WAY too much, especially when you can truly pin it down. Awesome video. You're the type of person who can't help making good point after good point and it's awesome to hear you talking about the game!
