1st hand: I would barrel on clubs turns as a block and then I would bet on say a 6 or 7 as well using a slightly larger sizing say 40%, also betting on 9x.
20:20: This is actually a really really good question and I decided to run it in HCR as I wasn't 100% certain, I have situations like this where you do actually limp, but it generally happens when say the BB is very very short or if there isn't much ICM. In this tournament there is around 30-35% field remaining, so there is a reasonable amount of ICM. The sim I ran I allowed a min raise and a limp. What we see is there are no limps here (although EV of a limp is only slightly suboptimal compared to a minraise). The solver likes to min QQ-AA and then some trash, k2o, 95s, j8/t8/q7o, also mixes in some raises with qjs/T9s/T8s, these obviously will be raise calls.
I feel like I would.just simplify to jamming any hand I was going to play unless doing something exploititive like one of my opponents likes to jam too aggressively to min raises.
Yeah that's a fine simplification and you wouldn't be losing much EV, although in saying that I do think population play poorly vs a minraise here (don't shove anywhere nearly as often as they should).

Hey Ryan,
First hand, since you polarized both of your ranges so heavily on the flop, are you only barreling clubs as a bluff?
20:20 wouldn't you normally have such a wide jamming range that your choices would be to limp or jam and primarily jam?
Thanks!

How much of this spot has jamming? With ICM pressure I would think jamming would play a larger role.
48.1% jam, 4.6% min raise, 0.2% call, 47.1% fold.

Ryan,
Nice video. I have not played very many PKO tourneys, so I enjoyed the analysis of these hands.
Thanks
Thanks mate glad you've found this useful and thanks for the message.
