At 30:00 mins w KQs against two opponents after flop AcQc4d checked around why wouldn't leading turn be an option? Player oop checked twice and the player ip checked flop AND is 50/50.
We have very little need for protection here and probably one street of value at a push. Betting turn might not be +EV, but checking for free information and delaying this bet until river seems a good bit better to me.
I'm a bit surprised though and feel like I'm missing something.
Villain overcalled a 3bet pre-flop... is that what inclines you to believe an A is in their range? Given such a high VPIP I would think a number of straight draws KJ, KT, JT plus flush draws were equally possible on such a wet board.
Additionally, I can't see a loose aggressive 50/50 checking top pair in position against two opponents... esp on that board... if we don't have a reason to think they have FPS couldn't they have anything here?
Also in ref to villain you used the term "weak" as in weak tight? Or as in a average/bad player? As in they too weak to bet top pair, want to pot control? I often think of weak as weak tight/nitty but this villain is loose aggro right? So I can't help but think they nearly always betting top pair here against two opponents.
Couldn't it be possible that villain is simply firing away because they have an aggressive style of play AND because its been checked to them twice? They might have felt they were being trapped on the flop but not turn after checked to them a second time? The second check is the weakest...?
Earlier in the vid, the hand before actually, you mentioned that folding to an unknown player could be a leak and that you didn't feel like folding. This was after they fired three times oop. Likely with a suited 9dXd, a worse A, a J, a busted draw...
I'm trying to reconcile these two hands and the way you've discussed them. Would it possible for you to spell out the ways these two hands/villains ranges are different please? (The first one starts at 19mins)
Great video. You explain your thought process very well. More hand history reviews in the replayer are always helpful as opposed to live play as it gives more time for thorough explanations.
Guys it's been really eye opening for me to see how much you guys value in depth discussion of hands. I will be sure to make more content like this soon where we go over less than 10 hands per video to ensure detail is rich. Thanks for the valuable feedback.
W/ the KQ hand, I think its close, but without a solid reason, i think we still flick in a call because recs can cold call things like QJo, QTs, Q9s, and maybe check back some gutters and FD's at some freq, and when its checked too them a second time they take a stab. I hear you that its an issue when we face a river barrel, but we can just fold on the river because at that point he prob really doesnt have much of a bluffing range. also, i think on flop he prob would bet more of his AK and AQ hands right, and maybe even most AJ having a "good hand". He can have some miscellaneous Axs, but probably not a huge portion. it is interestingly close however, and a spot i havent really consider just folding turn vs this sizing. any bigger than i def agree with you

Hi Peter, thanks for your reply.

Great vid Pete. I would love to see some more this format
Thanks Nick! You got it.
+1

Thank you. More of these are coming up for sure.
I agree with the other guys, hand history review is definitely the best format. Great video!
Thanks and glad you enjoyed
amazing video! I like the fact that you think outside the box and you don't stick to some "GTO" stuff like many robot regs.
Thanks for the kind words. GTO spots subtle ways of increasing our win rate but successful exploits cause huge spikes.
Very well done and love the format
Thanks a lot!
Thanks for the video Peter. Really enjoy this format vs having 4 tables at once and doing live commentary.
Thanks, this is valuable feedback!
Great video. Keep them coming.
Thanks!

Rich detail = Deeper understing. thanks for the Video Pete you are appreciated around here for sure.
Thanks, I'll definitely do more of these.
First video I've watched after subscribing to RIO. Keep up the great content. Ty!
