Richard Gryko picks up the action with 5 players remaining and fairly deep stacks for a final table allowing for quite a bit of play.

Hi,
Glad you found it useful. Tbh its a delicate balance, I think the last twelve months has demonstrated a significant upward trajectory for PLO MTTs (WSOP field sizes, Aria PLO-only series, expanded PLO schedule for Triton etc) that will over time filter down to upper mid/midstakes, but as far as RIO content is concerned, cash content tends to be better received and has a greater positive effect on subscriber base. Put another way, I'll get lynched if I make too high a % of my overall output MTT focused :)

Great content!

In the last minute of the vid, you mention the solver is not factoring in the EV of Winning chips. Could you expand on that?

Richard Gryko 1 year, 5 months ago

Solver doesnt factor in the utility of winning chips because ICM model assumes that the tournament concludes after the hand currently in progress.

what hands are good candidates for 3bet bluff in this kind of situation? (for the other players w smaller stacks), the second hand made me think that AK83 from Skjervoy coud be one good one,

Richard Gryko 1 year, 3 months ago

generally you want to have a nut suit and unblock folds, I prefer to simplify out the low freq stuff you'll see in sims and focus most of my attention in his spot on A-low-low-low type hands. Worth noting that they'd want to be wider vs opens from ppl with similar stacks, vs me here hes not gonna want to do a whole bunch of 3betting, notwithstanding my likely CO RFI frequency.

@23:50ish Do you think theres merit for Skjervoy to open to a smaller sizing with the AT96ds?

Richard Gryko 1 year, 1 month ago

Depends to an extent on his overall strat - if hes splitting limp/RFI, RFI size should prob be full pot, if hes playing raise only, sizing some medium size and 3.5x are prob very close in overall EV.
