Gary Chappell aka chaps1988 gets on the early morning grind in this 16 person pool and notes particularly difficult hands for further examination after the session.

At 26:15, the hand which alex Ssz used is actually a very high frequency 3-bet according to pio.
I assume that's because we block A8 suited and also has decent equity against JJs and 10s, and nut flush draws that we get it in against, when we hold this hand?

Yes it does.Even i was extremely suprised, but when i saw the video, i actually liked his play, so ended up pio-ing it. I guess OOP ends up jamming very few combos of trips, but a lot of combos of flush draws, JJs and 10s, that we are doing fine against after we have invested so much money.

You have mentioned that 66 is low freq raise SB vs BTN, do you have any flats? In my 3b/fold charts 55+ gets pure raised, I sort of suspected that’s too loose but still kept going with it. Could you share ur frequencies w 55-77 region in these positions?

i dont have any flats (unless explo). 55 would be a low freq 3B, normally explo. 66 fairly pure, not sure why i said low freq.

it depends on your ranges/strategy. i know some ranges hate suited connectors, so tend to 3B 55-66 more pure, whereas others prefer them because of more playability/board coverage. so its about balance to make sure you arent 3betting too high freq and therefore can be exploited.
