Liked the slower pace review style better than live play. Also really liked your explanation on exploitative adjustments. Hope to see more slower pace review videos from you. Thanks
Hi, Henry Lister - I like this version of video as well as the live-play versions of your videos. Maybe you could combine them both ;-P J/K. I do have a question for you though: how do you go about refining your preflop ranges? From a purely objective point of view, it looks like you are folding some hands in early position that most other coaches I watch seem to be raising (like 55 UTG or 78 suited from the hijack) while at the same time opening a hand like A3 offsuit from the button, which most other coaches are folding (in the videos that I have watched). I am not knowledgeable enough to dare to judge which sorts of ranges work better, and there are obviously many factors to consider, but I just don't personally know how to get a better understanding of what I should be doing. Is there some sort of process that you go through to weed out/add in hands that are borderline? Or if I can make this a bit more egocentric, do you have any tips that I could use when trying to refine my own preflop ranges? Thanks, Henry!
I'm changing alot of my preflop adjustments consistently. It's a spot where solvers all say different things and population reacts differently. Best answer is to work out yourself which ranges work best through research and trial and error.
Hi, Henry Lister! I was interested in your fold with QJo (2:46) and I decided to check it out in flopzilla and piosolver. At 40% bet, we definitely have to protect this hand. Otherwise, throw too much.
It’s sad that you didn’t tell much about the situation with QJs(28:35). you will have AQ, AK on the river. what will you do with them? with what frequency to call?
Piosolver offers mostly AK call and often AQ fold. KJ 100% call.
thank you for work!
Looked at 2.46 again and I agree with you. This is simply too tight vs this size.
QJ on the river is a clear check hoping to get a cheap showdown. Ax+ hands will mix betting, check jamming and check calling to protect all my frequencies. I will often randomise with a RNG. Our opponent player type and stack depth also effects these decisions.
This hand i will just mix 4 bet and call. If you purely call these 'playable' hands then you wont 4 bet enough and your opponent can freely realise their equity and raise you very liberally. Your range will also become extremely easy to play against if you only have AK, QQ+

8:30 min --> Can you share your thoughts about the 3bet/5bet jam with KJs? What range did u think he have here?

Liked it very much. Keep it up, Henry!
