Henry Lister aka AllTooNew loads up a typical session for him at the $200 Zoom tables and focuses on the fundamentals of the game in a pool with a healthy amount of regs.

Very interesting and instructive as usual. you mentioned Monker so my question is at around 30:00 you talked about 95s being a low freq open from the SB vs BB. i have a Monker sim SB vs BB and it reflects the same as you said but it also reflects a higher freq "call/limp". Out of a 52% range it wants to have an open limp strat about 17% of the time (with some very large re-raises) its based on 5% rake with a 1bb cap, its all very complicated and not sure it provides a large enough EV gain to study. I would be interested in your thoughts on this?

I personally don't use limping strats. In a higher rake environment I don't think it benefits much. Also for simplicity reasons I have just never learnt one although this may be a significant leak. (I also tend to play r/fold in live games with straddles!)

17:49. You fold KTo in CO v 1 limper. Why no iso?

Henry Lister 5 years, 4 months ago

It seems close and optional bottom of range iso. Your isolation range should be a notch tighter than you PFR range due to the fact you are up against most players thus fold equity is diminished. Thus if KTo is the bottom of your raising range when folded to in the cutoff, you should isolate KJo+

I actually had the same question Henry Lister CO is about 25% range

Would you just iso
22+, 87s+, A10+, KJ+, J9s+, Q9s+, K9s+, A2s+? (18.6%) ? basically folding lower SCs and some K8s-J8s hands. Also how do you feel about over limping in this spot? I use an over limp strategy in live games a lot where I feel like I get to use position still and realize my equity quite a bit against face up opponents.

Why don't you open SCs like 76-98s from UTG-MP? Isn't it a standard open from EP?

Already been answered but...

They're generally low frequency opens. They unblock suited aces meaning you get 3 bet alot which reduces the probability of you getting to take the blinds down or get to play hu vs BB
