Great video! I hope to see more hi lo content.

There seemed to be a lot of loose opens. Was that just a function of players applying icm pressure?

Any chance you could do a plo8 tourney from the beginning, or maybe just do a starting hand plo8 video for deep stack play?

13:50 if xd did get 3bet should he call?

43:45 ds's back jam seems bad. Shanis will very often have an a2 and xd almost always has a2 and the 9h is suited to the ace but is a dangler in every other respect as it has no connectivity and provides no safety net on any low he may make.

After ds backjams, i don't think xd is in great shape to call since he will likely share any nut low and if ds has a decently tight range, his high eq is questionable.

Thanks!

It is something I have in mind, it is possible if I make a deep run on this WCOOP or review some of the hands of a WSOP 1500 PLO8 I placed 45th this year. The next poker video will be a start of an MTT theory series.

13:50 I would fold the ones without the nut suit and pure call the one that he had. Even when Shanis has 2m, the payjumps usually aren't that relevant in smaller fields from 6th to 5th to make this one a fold. Naturally, due to ICM, you overfold a bit but not up to this point.

43:45 There is some players that like to gamble that spot hehe. Closing the action this hand would be a perfectly fine call. Even though it is a hand that performs very well at showdown when we see all streets, ranges are super super tight on that spot and you have no fold equity. When that is the case, you can opt for a more passive line.

When DS doesn't 3bet Ravens open, it is pretty likely he doesnt have AA2/AA3 and those would be the hands that would crush XD's hand. So, he is likely to be quite alive on that spot and he has a premium holding getting excellent odds. From a repeated game perspective, he can def let some of his range go and let Shanis clash vs DS but folding this one seems overly tight.

Hi. Nice to see more O8 content and it's clear you know the game well. You provided some valuable insight.
As one critique, I'd like to see a bit more detailed breakdown on a few spots and for you to put yourself on the line a bit more as far as evaluating some of the plays. Many of them you said, "I'd do this, but his play is fine." There were a few of these that I felt weren't fine but rather significant mistakes.

One example. 28min 39sec. I think folding river by OLD TIME is a decent-size mistake. Its very rare his hand is not good for high.

56 and T9 combos are rare in SB range and most other better made-hands that can bet that river would lead turn or raise.

Thanks Zach! At this one, my goal is to do a on the go one, quick paced and fun to watch for non specific O8 viewers. The series coming from this one will be super detail oriented.

100% agree. If XD pots, instead of 66%, then it is a tougher tournament decision. Not only ICM wise, but if XD scoops, he ties with OTG in chips and it will heavily change the dynamic for OTG's future game, even tough he has position on XD.
