This is literally the best series i have ever watched anywhere...
At 18:50 ...str8$$, you say you would not fold 66 but you fold 44...
I have obv heard people say stuff similar to this regarding the small pairs, even the ICM calculators confirm this statement.
However, I can not understand the difference between 22 and 66 here. None of the remaining players in the hand are going to call youre jam with 66 or below(maybe setherson with 66)...nor are they going to call with A5,A4,etc.
This never made sense to me.
Only "reason" i can think of is that the lower the pair is the worse it performs vs an AK type hand(but this is by a very small margin).
Am I missing something?

66 gets counterfeited slightly less and doesn't block any of the wheel opening aces also keeps all combos of smaller pairs in his range. That's the only equity difference and since we need a bottom of range he must be drawing it around 66. The equity difference shouldn't be substantial until you get to 7s or 8s I think

Yeah equity difference is pretty small unless we start including 3b/c with 66 or 77 in villains range or in this case they start calling with a wider range then they should be like 55 vs your shove. Your 44 in this example is what 1% difference given your assumptions that Setherson will call 77 or 88+?

Andy McLEOD, last hand. What is your 3betting range here? I guess QQ+ for value, all other pairs and broadway hands are shoving, but what hands are 3bet/folding? Like Kxo or some suited connectors?

@Dylan 4:30 - A3o shove 15bb in BU: ofc your move is +EV but why is shoving here superior to min-raising? you'd pbly not shove with your premium and with A3o you're able to get away cheaply if Sam shoves when you min-raise, losing 2bb but not jeopardizing your whole stack

The EV of shoving 15bbs is going to be better on average I believe especially against two competent regs than min-raise folding and A3o is not a hand that plays well post-flop as a competent BB is going to both peel and shove on us at reasonable frequencies. I think the min-raise fold option on a 15bb stack from the button is better against tighter line-ups especially those that do not peel the BB wide. We lose a lot of the advantage of position with these stack sizes once we go to the flop.
