POSTED May 03, 2016

Mark takes a few tricky hands from his recent play and analyzes them in Pio solver in hopes of better understanding some close spots.

I dont see a good aproach in this format cause every spot is player depends and stats depends, probably you must compare the stats variations cause every hero decision is betwen a GTO Pio solution and our range. Pio offer some ideas but we must to see the variations using nodes or CREV IMO, any way thanks for the work.

What if we dont know the player we are facing? Or just don't know enough about him?

I think it gives us some ideas how to play in certain spots.

I agree it's not perfect but it;s definitely worth a thing or two.

Hi Mark, KQs hand, why did u cbet 1/2 on the flop instead of 1/3?

EluSiVeMark 8 years, 10 months ago

Don't think it matters a ton. But i think i did it to make him fold more AQ type of hands without a bd flushdraw which has me dominated.

I would use 1/3 quite often on a board like this though.

It would be interesting if you use more sinzings, I think in the first hand your bet size on that board against is range and beeing oop, is alot better just bet at least 1/2 pot or 2/3 pot, I think if you put 33 55 67 pio would choose bigger cause against is range he is almost never folding this board. But yeah as you said this video is for you to see whether to bluff or value bet.

Using different with different types of hands is better than using 1 standard sizing for a board. But its hard to memorize and we'll start to be unbalanced on later streets. Which makes 1 sizing better again.

Think the format with PIO works really well. Your analysis is not as indepth as fx Dvoress' is but instead you are covering more hands. It works fine. More of this :-)

Thanks Jakob, will do!

Yes Oxota is very good doing indepth analysises of certain spots.

This way we mix it up a bit on this site with the producing of videos.

38m- pio says always calling ak with the Ac but i assume pio occasionally has villain check raising some nut flush draws on the flop, you said earlier in practice that nobody really ever does this.
am i right to assume youre only cbetting ak with a club , so you can continue vs checkraises? shouldnt you fold this combo and call AxKc vs a real life player?
- this would be half of our Ak combos also, which would agree with PIO's defence frequency for AKo

I re-checked the sim and pio is check-raising most combos of AJ-AK with clubs.
Which i don't do and expect most others to don't do aswell in these types of spots.

Maybe something we should implement then.

In practise i agree calling with the Kc is probably better than with the Ac.
