Nice job Pedro . I've just started studying at the PIO, so I'm sure it will be useful for me. Can You only explain to me a short word what did you say about equity distribusion becouse i dont understand (problem with mine english :D ) .

Pedro Madeira 6 years ago

Sorry for the english, it's not perfect, so I get it.

But about your question, equity distribution will tell us which bet sizings to use as it shows us how the equity is distributed among the cards in our range. So in the first example in the video, BU will have a 100% betting freq. with a small sizing as most hands in its range have a decent equity (and vilain has tons of immediate fold hands), so no need to have a polar strategy on the flop.
Is it more clear now? If its not let me know and I can try to explain in another way.
In any case, it will probably get easier to understand in the next videos.

I thought my english, not yours :). Thanks for the answer, I understand a little more, but if you can give some another example, I could better prepare for the next yours video and get more more value from it .

Sorry for the delay, I was away playing the PartyMillions in Rio.
Anyway, equity distribution shouldn't be analised separate from the other concepts but as it shows how much equity each hand in our range has against a given range, we can get an ideia of how we should construct our strategy, therefore our bet sizings.
Take a look at these two examples:
1.

We have very few combos with less than 30% equity, so even our bluffs can't be called pure bluffs and combined with the fact vilain has lots of air, we do not need to choose a big sizing.

Different from the previous one, we have a higher ammount of hands with very poor equity, therefore more pure bluffs in our range which means we need a big sizing (as well as other hands with huge equity that needs to inflate the pot now)

A bit more clear now?

Yes, now I understand, thanks for a very good explanation, I also learned a lot about this subject from the second part where you explained everything very nicely. It's interesting how blockers affect our bets. Maybe, one day you will make a video about it :)

Great job. Looking forward to this series and would love for you to continue into turn and river play. Maybe in the future you could include our strategy oop vs an ip flat. Thanks.

I love this video! Very useful. Where can I find a link for the additional videos on this study?

Great to hear that you enjoyed the video. We've added all of the videos from Pedro on Mastering Flop Play to a series and you can find the other videos on the top right of this page next to the video frame.

An additional way of finding the videos is going to the library and filter for all of Pedro's videos. I've already done this for you and you can find the results by visiting this link:
click

It should be easy from there to spot all of the videos by the titles. I hope this will help you spotting the videos efficiently.
