15:35 4566r on Q45. preflop raising seems like a mistake, however should we be doing alot of limp calling at these stakes (due to rake (: )? maybe outright folding this combo might be the way to go but maybe that's to nitty..
It feels like this board is semi neutral in defending ranges vs sb raise..
And cbetting on the larger size 2/3 feels like we are building a pot oop and will have problems playing this combo on future cards. there's almost no cards on turn that we can bet for value and going into check calling mode in a bloated pot with a hand that is blocking some parts of the bluffing combos with the 6's feels iffy.
And it feels like maybe cbetting on the smaller sizing with alot of our range accomplish almost the same thing but for a lower price.
Fold away some of our opp equity and bets on future streets aren't as big.
For these reasons i have a strong feeling that check calling this combo from the flop onward is the way to go. one reason not to is that we dont have any runner runner flush cards.
There weren't many splashed pots unfortunately, was looking for an advise regarding opening sizes for them.
Makaveli's attacks on flushing cards are interesting. You criticised them for not having a flush blocker. Would be cool to know under which condition one can get away firing like Hero did - what sort of range mistakes the opponent should be making to make it work.
Your suggestions for defending pairs pf is not matrix approved :) 99Q2ss is a close fold even at HS and slam dunk at micro-stakes as is 55Q2?!
QQ92 - the hand OP folded is actually also correct at micro-stakes but a defend at mid-stakes and above. You can ofc make an argument to defend based on skill level + just that at higher stakes this will be a defend so it's good to learn how to play these hands post-flop.
I used to be a midstakegrinder back in the days stopped playn when i got kids 2011. Im truly impressed how the game evolved since then the 5-10 tables back then are like 025 050 today.. Rly nice to hear Phils voice gives me energy to put in the work. Will upgrade to elite and buy your new solver after i rust of. So thankful to Phil you price it to cheap buddy !

AT92 ss - BB flat in high-rake environment too?
Yeah, it's quite a strong hand against a button open range.

I agree, 2/3 potting this hand wouldn't be my preference. I like a x/c best I think, and a small bet 2nd best.
Preflop seems close to me. I would raise, but I'm not thrilled about it.

The short answer is that you can get away with overbluffing there if you expect your opponent to overfold, but I realize that's not too insightful :)
Some common reasons for people overfolding that spot are:
1) doing too much small protection betting with 2pr/sets
2) betting most/all flushes
I've definitely played with players who make those mistakes and end up very bluffable on boards like this after checking twice.
