Even for the final table most of them are playing too tight. Phil's preflop commentary is spot on. He would have opened more hands in more spots. Especially without steep prize increases it seems like most of them are making that mistake except for Bryce

Excellent points all across the series.

14:27 Considering player profiles and dynamics, this is a good spot to expand your opening range. Aumus is playing a solid. Bryce is OOP against you (and has a similar stack size to Aumus). Riordan, tied with Maski, is unlikely to call with a wide range due to the high ICM risk premium.

At this stack distribution, in a vacuum, Merron gets to open at least 56-57% from the CO. If the discrepancy between stacks was even larger for his side, he could reach 80%. QQ72 is definitely playable in this range.

At the 31:43 mark, given the stacks and positions, this is the spot where Bryce can expand his range the most. Riordan and Maksimov should play exclusively with 3-bets.

But there is not a lot of raising from EP without an A. Since continuing ranges should be so tight, the EP opening range is heavily centered around hands containing an A. No low card rundown should be a part of that range. Maksi can be exploiting Bryce expansive RFI but this hand wouldn't 3bet either vs the "optimal" opening range at this stack distribution.

I really like these reviews.

9:20 you mentioned ausmus wants to leverage his straight and 2 pair advantage so he shouldn't bet flop often. If he had a decent spade blocker can he shift and go ahead and start betting flop and looking to barrel?

Thanks!
