Great (and tough) question. In practice, I think IP had showdown value way too often after taking this line. In theory, I assume we would use how close we are to the bottom of our range more than we’d care about specific blockers, but in practice anything TT or worse feels nearly the same in terms of showdown value.
I think Aces and 5s make good blockers in practice and theory, but I fear that in practice, IP is going to be over-calling here.
Insanely Nice format. Helps us With overall understanding more, and also be able to discuss discarded hands by Our opponent each round is very usefull. WCOOP 8-Game review is on my wishlist:)
@philgalfond I like hand history formats, but I do think it is MUCH more useful to filter by Nut's hand at these particular stakes. I think a lot of players will be simply playing poorly and there is less to be learned about reviewing their play than sticking with Nut's play who plays fairly well, albeit on the nitty side
Really enjoyed the format. I really got a lot of value from seeing the hole cards face up and hearing you discuss everyone’s best strategies with their hands. Thanks Phil!

Great format of video looking forward to seeing more phil.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it.
I agree. Excellent format with all cards revealed. We can get way more advice for preflop play especially with this format.
At 13:15, what blokkers would be good for OOP to bluff?

I'd like to see some horse/8game reviews also. PLO tourney reviews too.
I really, really keep hoping for some mixed game videos included in the Essential subscription too. An 8-game review would be awesome.
Phil, you didnt like 9754ds call from BTN vs MP open. Neither do I, but solver likes it. So let's give Nut a break there. :)

Great video, looking forward to more videos in this format. How can we send you our hands to be reviewed for videos?
Send an email to support@runitonce.com with the subject "RIO hands for Phil's review" and they'll get them to me. Thanks!

Very much enjoyed the cards up approach. Would love continuation of low stakes PLO in the essential vids. Thank you!

Surprised to see Phil discouraging limping SB because it creates rake :)
