Very insightful. It feels refreshing to hear a well thought out conceptual approach to balancing ranges and sizings, rather than some attempt at exact memorization of solver solutions across spots (no idea if you've attempted such a thing, but I'm sure some players have!).
Out of curiosity, how well do you think you would fare against a real time solver (heaven forbid) in a challenge similar to this one? In say bb/100.
I know that some high stakes players have tools that allow them to play against a solver and get a lossrate estimate. I don’t, so I’m just guessing it would be something around -8-10bb/100.
Phil Galfond How come you don't invest in a solver to play against? Just battle against the Ai for millions of hands? Many programs such as wizard, GTO+, lucid, and snowie allow you to do this, maybe vision does this as well for PLO?
I used go play thousands of hands against snowie and realized some spots where snowie just does not fold with TP or overpair and found some great exploits basically against people who try and copy a solvers approach.
Who is your next opponent in your year of challenges?
And, I'm not sure who's next! I've been trying to find a match that I can play on WSOP.com while I'm still in Nevada, but haven't gotten any interest, unfortunately.
Phil since you're in Nevada and needing content, jump into the WSOP lower stake 6 max games and get some footage. I'll donate to the cause if you're online.

First concept is "flopping quads, highly recommend it."

Thank you, Lareth! I’m glad you enjoyed it!

Vision allows you to practice against it, but it doesn't give you a lossrate estimate.
I'm not aware of any publicly available tools for PLO that offer that feature.

Great content as usual! When will you start putting out more 6 max content?
