Play more sticky and aggro, fight for more pots, put more money in low boards in 3bet pots etc. Those suggestions are super helpful to me as well. Thanks Peter! Looking forward to see more.
Mentioned K9s is a bluff catcher here and can just raise lower flush draws with less SDV. I was thinking CO range is some what capped at AX, so vs a large XR and bomb the river, CO can't do much about it unless CO is hero calling all of his top pair hands. I feel like BB will have so many 2 pairs & sets here in range, where BB can exploit CO really hard. Flop BB has a natural check and I feel on the turn ace, BB can also have another natural check. I know it's an exploit, just curious if you favor this exploit or not. Putting pressure with range and ignoring your exact hand basically.
34:30 mark you mentioned if the pool is not 3 betting KK on this flop then it makes more sense to raise with this combo for value protection. I was recently discussing a board of 9h8h4c board where in Steve's video it shows solver is raising with 8s6s with out bdfd and calling with 8c6c that has bdfd. This seems opposite to me as we can check raise and barrel clubs as well as SD. Also increase our fold equity blocking some hands like 7c6c. Peter Clarke Can you explain this better to me? I thought check raising a hand with more equity or robust equity where we can barrel more turns would be better. I feel when we get called with 8s6s we are left in no man's land on the turn as we don't pick up much equity. Is it really just the fact that solver doesn't want to get blown off back door equity via a 3 bet after raising flop? Where in reality we will face a 3 bet less often, so raising with back doors makes more sense?
Thank you in advance! Feels like a very misplayed spot to me.
38:15 you show the PIO for this hand and I see the Ah3h without bdfd is raising the flop as well but the spades and diamonds of A3sc combos are pure calls.
Something else I would point out on the 953J board in game compared to the 853Jss board on the solver is hands like 76s and 87s both have double gut shots where in the solver now they are only gut shots or open ended, so slightly less barreling potential. Similar board, but could make some difference with the robust equity of hidden double gut shots.
I have just joined RIO and watched a bunch of your videos including from the ground up pack.
This video is valuable as well , I have a question that is a little of theme , I have been searching , with no luck, on how to implement an RNG on PS. Could you or lambstockmix shade some light? Thank you
Peter Clarke Hi Peter. Thanks for this video series. At 43.15 you mention that on a T94r flop, after we 3-bet UTG from the SB, we have TT and 99 in our range on the flop. Do you not think 3-betting 99 pre in that spot is a bit too light vs a UTG open? Villain appears to be unknown.
