Hey, I agree that Vision/Monker analysis is beneficial in tough spots. I prefer it that way too, having a graphical representation of the spot is very useful, at least this is the way I learn best.
Thank you!
Nice video Paul. I think a Monker/Vision analysis of the closer spots as highlighted would be helpful although agree a deviation from solver solutions on at least two occasions would be merited given population tendency. Thanks.
I think I overdid the Vision strategy in the last video, so I decided on this one to let the strategy flow more but my preferred way is to get deep into the strategy until everybody understands it.
Thank you for the feedback!
Hey Paul, great video, I think 2 tabling allows you to explain every spot clearly and I think this was a particularly interesting video because I struggle with aces a lot of the time. I think your thought process is cogent and easy to replicate. Cheers!
I prefer this format. If you were going to mix vision into it, I'd prefer it to be minimal, just to check a couple of spots.
In regard to the video play itself, I really enjoyed it. It was actually kind of encouraging to see that you made what you consider to be mistakes, in addition to having such great hands but not hitting or being faced with such tough decisions and having to fold a lot. It's comforting to see that it can happen to everyone.
Everybody makes mistakes, especially in poker, but there is a big difference in how players handle them, and the first step in fixing them is to admit them.
Thank you for the feedback, Steve!
Great video! I like this format. What you could do is have a video like this then dedicate the next video to running a few interesting hands in vision.
2:15 left table can our hand go into a xr line as well?
9:30 right table can this hand ever be 3bet? If the rake was lower do you call?
10:25 left table if we cbet here oop shouldn't we size up and polarize a bit more to prevent lighter floats?
22:57 right table the fold seemed tight with a flush draw and future blockers to the straight with our tt. If hu do you make this call?
36:40 left table when you chk turn are you going to cc? Do we ever xr?
As played on river, if we chk and face a bet can we bluff raise with our straight/2pr/set blockers?
2:15 With this combo all options are viable, Lead, x/Call, X/raise
9:30 I would never 3bet but calling can be ok with a very low rake. I would never call a 9% Vpip though.
10:25 With the range his calling btn vs mp that board will be very hard to defend.
Betting bigger will make him defend better and fold close to the GTO range.
His supposed to float light in that situation, but most people will overfold.
22:57 Definitely a call HU. I think the fold is good with a player behind 3way.
36:40 I like the x/raise Turn a lot, the SPR is perfect for that.
Not a huge fan of the x/raise river, our hand can easily call, for x/raising I would pick hands lower ranked with blockers.

Very nice video as usual, but some vision/monker analisys on tough spots would be nice.
