This was a very timely video for me to watch as I've had a couple of blow up sessions at 50nl and 25nl and as a result, have stayed away from playing and have just taken care of myself and studied for several days now. You remind me of a lot of things here such as taking the rake into consideration, how to apply our understanding of blockers and unblockers, as well as river bluffing.
All of your videos here on RIO have been great so far. The content is always appreciated.
Thanks for the kind words @ModernGrinder. All the best on getting back on the horse, its great that you took some time off though, a lot of players fail to do so and as a consequence sometimes play worse for longer.
With that said, it would seem on the face of it that no strategic changes are required with regards to the rake. Is that correct, or am I missing something?
Hey Xyz strategically you'll want to be tighter preflop, this is because some hands will now struggle to make money with such a high rake. If you look on GTOwizard you'll see that ranges are quite different at GG rake compared to similar limits on other sites. Do you play reg tables or fast fold?
Thanks Paul. I play fast fold. I asked my question incorrectly. I'm more interested in the adjustments made between stakes? It would seem that small stakes aren't at a disadvantage with regards to rake, since the rake and cap are proportionally the same. I do make sure I use the GG rake on GTO Wizard. Interestingly, GG charge rake on 3-bet pots that are folded pre.
Ah right, i see what you mean now. Yea on the surface it would seem that you're correct. I've personally never played on GG though so never looked into it much.
Paul Gough I've stopped and took stock of where I am twice in the past three months now. As I get back to hopefully being able to do this fulltime, I've been more responsible with my life and money than ever before. I start December overly rolled for the stakes I'm currently able to handle and the option open to buy into a live 1/2 whenever I feel ready ready for it. No extreme rush. I'm going to continue to study on here, work on my game, and myself as a person.

Thanks, Paul!
No problem, thanks for providing the footage to review :)

Hi Paul. I play on GGPoker and the rake is 5% across all the fast fold stakes (5%). The rake cap is also the same relatively at 3x the big blind size.

Sounds like you're on the right path, good luck for the soft Christmas games.
