Welcome! Great first video. You analyzed the spots well. During the last hand I did notice a fair bit of microphone bumping and thudding.

24:00 if opponent wants to bluff this river how do you feel about him jamming?

39:10 I almost prefer a cc on turn to keep opponets range as wide as possible.

Hey SoundSpeed, thanks for the kind words. I will make sure i keep an eye out that i'm not fiddling with the mic or anything else in future videos (as thats likely what the noise was)

24:00: Yea i think jamming would have been a lot better for him. It would make a lot more sense with his strongest hands like straights and full houses.

39:10: Yea against this guy i think both lines may yield a similar amount of EV, although i do think this guy would really struggle to fold a pair or anything with any connection to this board (which is likely his whole range) and so just going for max value on turn may be better than potentially letting letting him check back with some hands he'd go broke with on turn like QQ Jx 9x pairs etc.

Welcome to RIO. I would advise running some of these hands through solver before giving community feed back.

This one in particular started out well with advising larger 4bet preflop and larger flop sizing against a recreational. In theory at least on wizard B50 is going to be preferred size here. A lot of smaller bets on these dynamic boards are designed for higher SPRs. Lower SPRs you are not worried about future run outs and more or less shoveling money into the pot.

Because hero took a B33 line on the flop should just B33 again on the turn or XC. The check jam seems spewy even though hero is dealing with a 80 vpip player. When an over card falls that benefits the 4 bettor a block size will be preferred. Even if you use B50 flop the turn will just be smaller B25-B33 size.

Hey RunItTw1ce, thanks for the welcome :)

Thank you for the feedback, however in this video i was looking at hands against players where i don't think we can realistically find the best decisions by looking at a solver. For instance when looking at GTOwizard in this spot you will be using 4bet calling ranges that are completely different to what this player turns up with preflop and subsequently postflop too. For example in those ranges villain should never have hands like KQo/KJo/KTo/QTo but in reality i think those hands are in our opponents range (to some degree) and play a large factor in this hand.

I don't think the turn is spewy as I expect this particular opponent to have way too many hands (even offsuit which wont be in GTOwizards ranges) which will never fold with a card to come as well as not being able to find the fold button with his pairs and flushdraws.

I do think though that your overall point of how GTO looks on the turn and what we should do in theory is very valid as i don't want players to think that we should do something like this against a reg (which would be a huge spew). Maybe if i do something similar to this in the future i will use GTOwizard alongside my thought process so that viewers can get a sense of what theory suggests and then i can make a case for why i think we should deviate vs particular opponents and why/how i think EV will be higher/lower taking certain actions.

@~16:00 I think this is a little thin for value IP, no? You simply reopen the action and your equity drops significantly when x/r'd.

Hey ModernGrinder, hmmmmm, yea i could be persuaded that river is a little thin, although its tough because i really expect him to probe the river with his 99/TT and Jx at a high frequency, but you're right if he doesn't do that enough then it does become too thin.
Looking back at this hand now i think continuing on turn for a medium sizing will be highest EV if we think he's going to continue with 7/8x as well as all the possible gutshots and FDs he has in his range, then we have a comfortable check back on river against this particular opponent. I would then prefer to check turn here against an aggro recreational who will probe river too often with his missed draws as we have a decent river call and don't reopen the action.

These are very practical and real time applicable thought processes. Thank you again.

edit: Have had two good sessions so far today. I like 2-2.25x RFI EP and 3x LP, including SB as a baseline and then dynamically adjust both sizings and ranges to the table, villain, etc.
