I think I agree that on blank rivers his range becomes far more inelastic to betsize where we are unlikely to see folds from any made hands QX+. For this reason I can maybe get behind the idea to bluff smaller where we fold out draws with more SDV than our hand. If this is our approach though then I think we should just aim to bet as small as possible, maybe 40% pot.
I think shoving flush rivers sounds correct given what we say above where his calling range is more elastic now (we should expect some QX to consider folding to jam)
4:45 T#2 97c on KJ9-2-4 against a B-X-B line with river being a block size. What are your thoughts of turning 3rd pair into a bluff here?
why do you have double \ in your hud?
24:45 seems a bit weird. I did check solver and AK is jamming the river unless you have hearts. I just don't like bluffing rec players when all the draws miss. On the contrary you seem to want to bluff more vs recs? Maybe recs playing differently in our two pools. I find when all the draws miss recs are more likely to call, so I size up for value and give up with bluffs. Also don't have 97s in range, but T9s was doing a lot of calling down vs 3 barrels.
4:45 - I think if we want to turn hands into a bluff here then if possible we want to try and have a 4 or some kind of blocker to T/Qx.so 97 feels too weak blocker-wise. Its possible we could maybe consider choosing Q9 or something
24:45 I dont think recs are playing differently in our pools, I think this is actually a huge misconception that people have - dont bluff recs. There are scenarios where I would agree but I dont think this is one. The most important thing is to really figure out what their range looks like - and here there are a huge number of hands 2nd/3rd pair or worse on the river that always call twice and then you should expect will fold at least at a decent frequency. Obviously with retrospective reads I should giveup vs this specific recreational.since he calls down one of these hands pretty quickly but vs general recereational population I kind of like bluffing this spot.
38 min - K9h utg vs sb 3bet (9bb). Do you consider this a pure call? I find I am usually pure folding in this spot, even though sizing preflop is small just because it's the worse KXs I am opening pre from UTG. Vs a 11bb 3bet the worse suited broadways feel like folds K10s, QJs, QTs, & J10s. I used to call all suited broadways IP vs 3 bets. I think SB linear range just dominates too much though. Do you find playing higher stakes regular tables makes you a bit more sticky on lower stakes 500z games?
I think the main thing to realise here is just how much more we are able to call vs smaller 3B sizings - 9bb here is quite a substantial ev loss for him and I would expect this hand to call, yes. Now I dont have optimal solutions vs his sizing so I am mostly guessing but I think this kind of just has to be winning. I dont think I would be doing much folding at all vs sizing with any kind of reasonable suited hand honestly :D I agree that vs 11bb+ 3B sizings though we fold quite a few of the combos you mention at least at frequency,
"Do you find playing higher stakes regular tables makes you a bit more sticky on lower stakes 500z games?"
Maybe, but only in the spots where it makes sense. I think this PF scenario is one of those
I am fresh off vacation as well , and I feelz like if we study a lil on vacation, just enough to keep the mind aware of hand-reading(not necessarily tackling new subjects)... our play and longevity benefits greatly. Patrick thanks for everything, you're a crusher.

Hi , at 29:05 98s hand. What's your river strategy vs the rec on rivers?
How does betting 33-50% on blank rivers and shoving flush rivers sound?
I think his turn calling range , would consist of a lot of draws and Q10+ .
Shoving on blanks feels a little gross because I feel like he won't be folding a lot of top pair, while on flush rivers he would.

nice analysis. thought you played well here despite being 'rusty'.
Thank you!
