What are your thoughts about betting super small on the river (like 20-25% pot, maybe less)? This accomplishes a few of things:
1) Makes our hand look like two pair going for thin value or a 7 that was bluffing turn and now made a straight
2) This could induce a bluff raise from our opponent with a one pair hand turning it into a bluff
3) His Jx will almost certainly raise over a small bet for value, allowing us to re-jam and potentially stack him
I think a small lead is better in theory than in practice. While our opponent probably should be raising Jx against a small lead, I think a lot of players will just call since most people play too cautiously in these spots. A small sizing may induce some bluff raises, but I prefer using a big sizing on the river with the nuts in this spot.
