1:14: Good point about flatting KJo to keep the weaker player in. But how far are we going with this flat QQ+,AQ+ as well to keep him in or still 3betting ? I guess we can mix it up, and then 3bet the more crappy stuff you cant quite call with i would guess.
10:30 bvb AKo std to 3bet and std to jam. But he makes it 2x here oop, so i think thats a sizing that should discourage us from 5bet bluff shoving too too much, and also incourage us to flat more being IP with a good price. So has calling AKo some merrit here ? If it is a player we know he wont 4b/call AQ i think it does cause we would only pickup the dead money and just getitin vs a strong range. I think its nice to call IP and let him make mistakes on Axx,Kxx board, we can also float many boards w 2 nut overs. What do you think about this ?
Yeah, I'm not going to take it too far. I'm still 3betting my normal TT+ and AQ+ for value against the button. But hands that I would normally 3b with a reg in the big blind, such as A9s, KJ, etc become flats I think when there is a looser/weaker/passive recreational player in the BB instead.
For the AK, I think you make a good point about his 4b size encouraging calls. And as you mention it does have some merits in terms of deception. Phil and I chatted about how this deception can work for us in the comment section of my last video.
However, for me, AK isn't really a hand that I want or need in my calling range. I think there is too much value in getting it in pre. Also an adjustment we can make to his small 4b size is to introduce a 5b range (to less than all in) since we have more stack behind. Remember too, that if he 4bs something like QJs, and I jam AK over the top, he gets to realize 0% of his equity rather than the ~40% he can possibly realize if I flat.
Very good watch. Thank you for this and keep your videos like this.
There is not too much talking and the video is fast pace which I like. I also like how you explain each situation before you start analysing it (In case I missed it due watching another table).
It's kind of a tough spot where of course I want to bluff a lot of stuff without showdown value. But since I don't bet much bare Jx on the turn, I am repping a very narrow value range of KQ, 66, 88 and KJ. For that reason I need to be careful that I don't have too many bluffs in my range. But without a missed flushdraw on board, yes QT will probably be my main bluffing hand OTR.
When someone is overbet bombing turns do you adjust your preflop calling ranges at all? Agreed you need to not panic and get value from the higher parts of your range. Flatting with QQ+; AJs+ and 3betting some hands like 65o, 59s to give the illusion of a wide value 3b range seems like a good solution to me. Laying the tarp pre for him to predictably overbet when you are perceived to be capped in range when you have in fact shifted your range seems like a good solution to this type of opponent to me. Thoughts?

15 00 Are you 4-bet bluffing AQs, or trying to get it in versus the loose player? Get it in, right?
Getting it all the way in! I also expect he's the type to call 4bs a decent amount, so it's just for value.

Cool thanks yes i see how much of a win it is to make him fold 30-40% equity, thats great :)

Thanks mate
In the hand where you had 66 on K6Jx x J - Would you have bluffed the river you think with QT?

Do u think Villain should have folded KQ, since he blocks QT and has some Jx and mabe AK in his Range? Are u calling a 3bet in CO vs. BB with QTo?
Yes, it's very close for him with KQ and could very well be a fold for the reasons you stated.
No, I don't call pre with QTo.
quick call with sets ftw! nice series, would dig some more live recordings.
