w the QQ hand at 24 where you called a 3B from the CO, im curious about your reasoning behind choosing a 50% bet sizing when check too on the 346ss flop. I am curious because your range will contain hands like 77+, and others, and these other portions of your range may want a smaller sizing on the flop. would you be checking some of these behind and polarizing your range more, and this is why you chose the larger flop sizing, or would you still be betting all of these hands as well for this sizing?
or because it is anonymous, might you also be choosing multiple sizing?
That's a great question! It's possible that a smaller sizing on the flop could be more appropriate. I haven't deep dived into this spot far enough to tell you whether this is true false. Essentially my idea was that I knew how to play a 50% betsize and if it's balanced well, it will be very close in value to the small betsize against a strong opponent.
Tyler do you agree 1st hand overbet K8s is pretty bad either?
You shouldnt be super polar when BB is at such nut disadvantage so you should either at least have some equity or have positive removal effect on opponents range but this K8hh seems worst possible hand to pure overbet bluff. I mean you block all possible weaker hands he c/f ott (K-high floats, variety of missed BDFDs, weaker pairs with TK) and very few Ax+ on other side.
I`ve got its a video about overbetting randoms on anonymous site but even this case this one seems out of line given you could have chosen ton of other hands to do it with.
Awesome, question! I was out of line for most of the video, so it's consistent with the theme :).
I don't agree that this is was super bad. It could be a little bad, but super bad would be implying that my opponent overcalls the overbet compared to 1- alpha and this is rarely true. It might be slightly minus EV and if I had been in a more serious mood, I wouldn't have made the bet, but it didn't cost me more than a Big Mac. You can model this in PIO, you'll see that something weak like K8ss is less +EV than other hands, but that it is rarely significantly -EV at equilibrium. This is one of the quirks of GTO.
PIO has you raising AA there facing a flop donk bet around 80% of the time and 88% of the time with the Ace of Clubs in your hand. I guess because you aren't denying any BDFDs. Then again, who in the world doesn't raise you with 2 pair on that board texture? That's what's so aggravating about playing bad players online sometimes. It's easy to get lost in the midst of all the limping/donking.
Haha, I agree 2 pair should raise. To be fair though flop play generally has many options be very similar in value, so it's not a large mistake to flat.
I also don't think it's a mistake to flat. Yet again, I am currently playing micro stakes and had to sit an RC Cola and cup of Ramen noodles down to respond to this.

Awesome video! Also nice to see your self reflections and critique of suboptimal sizings/lines.
Thanks Guest! Appreciate the kind words :)

no no I said "pretty bad", not "super bad", you made another mistake.
In fact I would never dare to call your plays "super bad" :)
Haha, you should be willing to call my plays super bad. I'm human. I play dumb sometimes too. :)
