Nice vidz btw.
Sam Lang12 years, 3 months agodon't normally open it UTG 5 handed. would probably open on the CO if btn is tight/weak player, if they're good and 3b a lot maybe not
Nom de Guerre12 years, 3 months agocool - it's useful when given the thought process for preferring one line, and why taking alternate lines might not be good in a given hand..
Aleksandra ZenFish12 years, 3 months agoRegarding your question on a suggestion on a smallish 3 bet on a button at minute 41.56 i found very useful link James Hudson left yesterday

It is about 3-4-5 betting in nolimit holdem but principle is aplicable all the same in PLO since it deals with 3-4-5 betting and talks in terms of ranges
As together with article is great james;s video as well as it addresses smaller 3bet sizing tendencies in nowdays games
Kerith12 years, 3 months agoI have not read the whole article yet (thank you for the link!) but with calling 3bets (and 4bets) being much more viable in PLO I am not sure how much a NL strategy applies.
On the hand (being 3bet small OOP with KK32ds) I like the thought that the sizing is more indicative of a rundown than AA but would still be hesitant to 4bet. I would probably lean more toward 4betting AKKxr and call with this hand that is almost 1/3 to "improve" on the flop to the nutflushdraw (that is an A high board where the 3bettor will most likely cbet even when he missed and the cold caller should rarely if ever have an Ace), overpair + flushdraw or topset.
Maybe I'm missing something, but what's the difference between the hand played on the bottom left at the 21 minute mark and the hand right after it at the same table - you called and saw the river the first time, but then jammed in what seems to be pretty much the same spot - you had a flush draw and a gutter in both - was it based on the size of bet you were facing?
Feels like those small 3bets are often rundowns but this player had 3b % 0 after 50 hands so assume its more often aces so vs this player i would of just call pf
