Nice Video ;) I just played my first hour on that site and I can't 2 table it at all. I'm also not able to see spots like "I discard 9h instead of 8c since we need the 9d to make a flush on the bottom" (~~13:00)
(14:15) seems so close. Could you elaborate a bit more, why you didnt put trips on the bottom? -The Queen of Diamonds would be nice to use on top~~ (-33% fantasy land chance) -trip 666 could be a winner sometimes on the bottom -that way, fouling become so less likely (how big were the odds to foul at 14:15 anyway?) -> you said 55% to make it later...what was it at that point? -How much is the Flush-royalty worth compared to fantasy land?
I agree that spot seems really close at first, but upon closer examination I like the nittier route too. I make the flush around 40%, get there in some other way about 15% (i.e- kings).
However, placing trips on the bottom leaves me a risk-free way to get to FL by just getting an 8 or pair and then a queen or kings so that seems better.
The value of a flush is 4 pts and then you also have to account for it swinging a spot or a scoop. I think the value of Fantasyland is about 8-9.5 with it being worth a bit more in Heads-Up play. But don't forget to add the points for the royalty and the spot swing! I talk more about how I got this value in my Pineapple Fantasyland theory video.
I'm playing a lot of live three-handed here in Vegas at the WSOP and am working on another video on key differences compared to heads-up.
Very informative vid Jen - I have trouble doing the maths sometimes , was hoping you could give a few important rules of thumb which i could keep in mind next time im considering drawing to a hand ... or are you just a number crunching machine and just do the calcs in your head in most spots?!
