Like you, I was surprised to see Linus check this hand on the river. If I know that Jh strongly blocks IP's bluffs, then for sure Linus knows that too! It doesn't seem like a good spot to check and induce a large over-bluff from IP given that the T turn connects with IP's gutters. My sim has KJ to be the thinnest value shove for OOP, so perhaps Linus thought KJ was perhaps a little too thin to value shove? Either that, or he is expecting Barak to shove the river incorrectly with a bunch of AXhh hands that the solver would check.
I believe he thought that KJ was maybe a little bit too thin to shove and he was going with KQ+ instead which is totally understandable. I don't think he was trying to exploit Barak in this specific situation but it may be the case.
Would have thought this would be a good spot for Barak to min donk with his entire range. The solver seems to like that too. Do you think he just missed it, or do you think he wanted to exploit Linus by checking and hoping that Linus bet too frequently here? Presumably most players will bet here too frequently when checked to, so it makes for a good exploit?
I'm pretty sure he just doesn't play that strategy. There are quite a few highstakes players that simplify and not play any leads anywhere and Barak strikes me as one of them based on what I've seen so far.
That's interesting, I would have thought that all regs playing high stakes would have spent the time to study donking and the range bets like this one are obviously the easiest to implement
Another donk spot here - both you and Linus liked the donk here, but I wasn't sure that it would be a good play. According to my sim for this spot, the solver doesn't like donking here. The reasons being:
BTN has a 4x advantage in preflop ranges
BTN cbets most of their 4x on the flop (and indeed at a higher frequency than their overall cbet frequency)
These 2 factors seem to minimise OOP's trips advantage here, which prevents them from donking.
Yeah, good one. It makes total sense that this isn't a thing at the equilibrium in this particular spot. However, simplifying and just leading with your entire range whenever the low or second to low card from the flop pairs OTT is still a very good strategy because the counter for the IP player is really hard to replicate. Linus seems to agree with me for what I've seen as well.
the counter for the IP player is really hard to replicate
Do you have an idea in which ways players will likely not replicate the counter strategy? Are they likely to over-fold vs the turn donk? Are they likely to under-raise?

You used to always use piosolver. Now you are using gto wizard. Any reason for changing software?
Hey Dog!
The only reason why I'm using GTOWizard at the moment is because is much faster and easier to use.
Nice content as always :D Thanks Nuno!
Thank you for the support mx!

Some regs just prefer to simplify the game tree as much as possible in order to be very accurate with their strategy.

In most cases it’s both, but even if they don’t over fold against it, playing enough raises is really hard to do for a human.
