Very nice seeing you play with the bosses!
I remember following your journey when you were at 200nl or so...hard work always pays off :)
Might sound repetitive but your content is one of the best's on the site even though i do not play hu

Thank you so much zache! I also remember you following since the very beginning.

It really makes me happy to read comments like this and I will keep working hard to produce the best content I can :)

Hi Nuno,

How you do to configure the " short term results do not matter " at the end ?

Thanks

Nuno Alvarez 2 years ago

Hey jambo.

This is a StarsCaption feature. You can find it under HUD > Hide board if hero all-in

In the past I have always taken the old school approach you mention of bluffing bottom of range here. Looked at a few sims recently and discovered that, like you said, sometimes we bluff better hands and just give up hands like this. Does it mainly come down to having too many bluffs that are 0 zero equity and only being able to select the ones with the best blockers? Would be keen to hear this concept discussed in a future video like you suggested!

Nuno Alvarez 2 years ago

Exactly.

When we have more than enough bluffs to balance our valuebetting range and all of them have 0 EV when checking, it all comes down to choosing the ones with the best blockers/unblockers (mostly the best unblockers in x down or bxb spots in HUNL such as this one because of how wide the ranges are)

Would be keen to hear this concept discussed in a future video like you suggested!

Already recorded this one! Stay tuned :)

Hey regarding this hand. Should Berri be calling Ace highs to river stab in GTO?

With your insight that population would overbluff here with 56o ace high becomes a call. Just wondering how often in theory ace high should check call river on this board

Nuno Alvarez 1 year, 10 months ago

Just a touch of A8 with a heart mainly.

Note that if we expect the population to overbluff here with the 56o type hands then every bluffcatcher will show positive EV by calling.
