I am really looking forward to the all hands videos coming up!
21:20 you talked about not wanting to push people out preflop to capitalize post flop. Would you say that is also important in cash games?
I have watched and studied other training material on plo8/bigo where you never or rarely 3bet pre and just look to go post flop. Do you feel that can be a viable strategy in deeper stacked parts of the tourney or cash?
Not pushing players out preflop is definitely important in a cash game as well as the amount of hands that are playable in PLO8 are fairly restricted vs NLH and it quickly reduces ranges as bets get larger PF. That being said, there is significantly looser play in cash games overall when bets are larger preflop, you’ll see more willingness to gamble overall with less concern on pressure spots - tbh I don’t find plo8 to be a very good cash game due to the inability to apply pressure well.
As you’ll see throughout the video series I rarely 3! Pre even with premium strength hands in early to mid stages of the tournament and incorporate them more into later stages where stacks are shallower and picking up every blind is far more important. Fully recommend maintaining a high spr when stacks are deep and pushing equity when stacks are shallower!

How much have you used monker to study plo8?
Never touched it for PLO8; field tendencies are so strong that using anything other than an exploitative approach would be burning EV imo.
Who said the only way to use a solver is to play gto? :)
