Thanks MX404! Great moment to join the RIO team and very high on the achievement list.
Glad to hear you love the game, please chime in as the videos are released and I’ll do my best to answer specific questions in either the comments or potentially use them to highlight learning points in the videos as we progress!
Appreciate everyone being here, please let me know any specific strategy questions you have as we go along and I’ll work to incorporate them in future videos when hands allow
Really glad to have you!
Been studying plo8/bigo for a long time but only get to play it during the series or plo8 sng on acr. Most of what is available to study is cash game format so I am glad to see more tourney content on this game.
Ironically I think it plays very poorly as a cash game and is a much better tournament game due to the pressure that can applied by different parts of range; in cash games you can almost always shrug your shoulders and call off with a low/low draw and be fairly justified in doing so - in a tournament there are a lot more implications to your stack and how best to derive value from every spot. IMO :-)
Absolutely, there are 2 winnings styles, one is extremely high variance as it applies lots of pressure with pot size bets; the other is low variance but requires hand reading and an understanding of mechanics to execute - that’s the one I personally apply and will be showcasing

Do you play big O as well?
Appreciate it, let me know if you have anything specific along the way that you’d like answers to!
Have a ton of big O cash game experience and some deep runs in wsop tournies as well; hopefully get an opportunity to make content on that next
Welcome to the team and what a nice high-effort debut video. Looking forward to all of your future content

The studying I have done has told me that the game is also a low variance game if played properly. Do you feel the same?
