On 8:00 - do you have a flatting range there to play the 3bet pot in position - something like suited broadways and some suited aces? or against his stack you gonna play only 4bet or fold?
I thnk against good reg (that are able to 3bet agressivly their BB), you defenetly want to have a flating range here. but with the spr that will be below 2, you will have to call only dubble high card I'd say. If you have read that vilain is able to 3bet trashier hands like T2s or random K-rag (suited or not), than you can call wider. But i'd say that it will be very vilain's dependent.
my temptation would be to cold call a range like this :
AA, A9s, A5s, KTs+, QTs+, JTs, T9s, AJo-ATo, KJo+, QJo
and shove this range :
KK-55, ATs+, AQo+
I would increase my cold calling range with :
A8s, A4s-A2s, K9s, Q9s, J9s, T8s+, 98s, ATo
if the 3betor is agressive, especially if I see him 3bet with hands that have very bad playability like T6o, K3o, ...
If my opponnent is too tight or if I saw him cold calling hands like AQ/AJ/99 in the BB where he should have 3bet. Then I would cold call hands like
99-88, AQs-AJs, KQs, QJs, AQo
and only 4bet 99+, AKs, AKo
edit:
against a very agressive 3betor, an agressive 4beting range could be more +EV than having a flating range... but i didnt do the calculation. intuitively i'd say that if you expect to have >75% FE, 4bet might be mor +EV than having a flating range.
And in this case I wouldnt care to shove a very wide range like this :
22+, A2s+, K5s+, Q8s+, J9s+, T9s, 98s, 87s, A9o+, A5o, KJo+, QJo
(but you have to have very strong read over your opponent)
Enjoying this series nice tempo and enough detail. Maybe you could start a thread in mtt with individual hands to discuss more and link them here ? Cheers
Yeh, I agree the minraise from the SB around minute 15 is a little strange, and might be polarized, so not good to shove, as he could have JJ+ as he did.. Better to see a flop with position.
