At 6:57 you check the KT on KJ5 out of position. Let's say this was a heads up pot vs the BTN only. How often are you betting a spot like this?
I feel like when I'm out of position in these situations I need to range check on almost any flop. This flop is one of the better flops for us but I still want to range check. Is this a bad idea?
I feel like its hard to balance my checking range if I have a betting range in those situations.
Checking range is a very nice simplification for this spot, the only boards we usually bet a little more often are K highs + broadway, then you can bet at a decent freq
Great video Max. definitely appreciate the tips for moving up to NL200 from NL50.
The site I play on is small so I play a mix of NL50-NL200. NL200 being 4x the stakes adds allot of variance to my results.
Hello Max,
Lots of good advice in this video!
At 6.00 you talk about players being too value heavy when they pick the big cbet sizing. Are you talking just about 3bet pots here, or is this true for single raised pots and 4bet pots too? Vs big flop bets, which street do you think it is best to overfold on? How much would you reduce your calling range by typically?
At all situations, when you size up you should have a ton of bluffs, and a ton of counterintuitive bluffs, that's why it's hard for them (and us as well) to find the proper amount of bluffs. I would say I try to change the mix strats on my defense range to pure folding

Thank you for any reply.
Good luck at the tables.

Very sick to not have NL100... I would focus on table selecting pretty hard when playing NL200

Thanks, this sounds like a pretty simple and effective heuristic to follow! Does this apply to SRP, 3BP and 4BP alike?
22.10 - AT on QQ5
Given that you are 200bb deep here, would it not make sense to use a smaller cbet sizing, especially when out of position?
Yeah, definetly makes sense, also c-betting less often when deep and OOP
