Great video! I have one question: Against fishes, do you use the small size with your whole range? I tend to bet bigger the stronger hands, thinking they won't notice. Am i mistaken? They say you shouldn't worry about getting exploited vs fishes and betting small with strong hands just feels like missing too much value, especially if they are passive and don't raise enough.
Hey, thanks for the comment! I would choose that based on the recreational's profile. For example, if it's a 35/10 profile, I don't want to get my range super face up, so I'd go for a small bet. But if it's a 70/20 whale, I don't care about that and will simply play my hand :)
Hey good video! I am thinking about you opening 2x from UTG abd HJ, isnt it just a bit better to open 3x from this positions cause of the rake structure, less flops less rake. And with a pool full of fish here they will call almost all of ours 2x opens?
This indeed might make sense on a high rake enviroment! But what I often see thru data is that players don't tend to adjust based on the opening sizing as near as they should. So what I expect is that players will fold at a very similar frequencie vs 3x compared to 2.5x or 2x. But leaving that aside, for sure it makes sense to try to win the pot more frequently when it's a high rake enviorment and there's no rake being taken preflop.
BB defense roughly the same frequency in soft pools. Also same argument for 3BP, they tend to call more often than they should vs 3bets, so you actually are not decreasing the amount of rake you play based on how little they are folding to 3bets. But also most mistakes micro / low stake players make is post flop, so rake is less of an impact compared to the EV gained by seeing flops vs fish.
From MP I noticed you opened 87d but folded K6h, which is opposite of some modern preflop ranges. What is your opinion on these SCs vs KXs hands? IMO the KXS hands go down in value because players are cold calling button with hands like A6s and KQo-KTo or even other positions as well i.e Co & SB. We will see wide cold calling ranges and more MW pots.
Thanks for this video Max. In this video, you mentioned Hand2Note on several occasions. Do you use the Hand2Note HUD, and do you think it's better than the HUDs available in PT4 or HM3?

6:23 why are we folding OESD here? If it was rainbow would you continue being all 8 outs are clean?
