At minute mark 12:00 you mention you expect the co opener (when you have AA) to call w/ 66+. What's the difference between 66 and 22 in this spot if you're him? Is it b/c they're a lot of Ax suited hands in your range like A2-A5 so 66 would be good if you hit a pair? If you're set mining I don't see the big difference and if you're holding on depending on runout I also don't see a huge difference between say 66 and 22-55. Thoughts?
Its marginal but it makes a difference, to explain, 22 has 50% equity vs a random hand, 66 has 63% the difference here is pretty substantial, and is consistent vs all ranges, that is to say that 66 has better equity than 22 vs any range of hands, including a tight value range. That said this villain could certainly call the 3bet with 22 as well. Again there is not a huge difference, but the equity differences is substantial, consider that 22 has 50% vs Aks while 66 has 52% it is a thin difference but certainly still meaningful.
Gotcha although you aren't 3 betting a random hand so there's probably not too much of an equity difference vs your 3 betting range.
Regarding your JJ bust out hand would you be going broke on the runout of 39458 or could you ever see yourself folding JJ to a big turn bet?
I busted the main in a KK vs AA spot on day 1 dinner break where a lot of pros think it was just a cooler but I knew I was beat. Old guy utg 700, mp flat, 2400 from bb utg clicks to 5k w/ 23k effective and I call. 793 rainbow, I check and he bombs 10k which is very rarely QQ if he even clicks QQ back. Not telling a bad beat but sounds similar to,so,e of your spots that seem standard but aren't what they seem as the main event is a different animal.
I could see myself folding JJ on low card flops, I think its def a fine play. I think in your hand folding KK OTF is certainly a good play, it depends on the player ofc but based on your description I think folding is best. Not only because its the main event but also because at a 9 handed table both of your ranges should be very narrow pf. Its possible that villain's entire 4 betting range in this hand is AA, maybe KK+. If you opened the btn and bb 3bet its a different animal obviously, but vs a tight utg open who 4bets pf you should expect to see AA a very large %, vs most players its at least 50%.
