great video!!!

i dont understand the last hand really, especially on turn. i see the reg beating us most of time with valuehands and having very few draws in range, but u say we should still bet. i dont understand it.

His calling range otf includes a few weaker Axs which we beat and I think he still has quite a few draws too as hes gonna be calling much wider than normal pre due to teh whale. Agreed, when the reg calls ott we're in trouble most of the time.

However, its still +ev to bet because if we get the reg to fold and the fish to fold or call (which will happen a reasonable amount of the time), its a great spot for us

I think the hand is a good example of how a big fish can massively change the dynamic of a hand.

Great video and I thought the analysis of the last hand was excellent,  however on the river I think you both put too much weight behind the fish calling too often.  I think AJ should be a check here and bet AQ+ for a few reasons:

1. The reg has such a strong range that calls the turn, so wont fold frequently enough for us to gain a massive amount of ev from the fish when they call with worse.

2.  When the reg calls we "never" win.

3. We realise a large part of our equity when the reg checks back because

4. We never expect the reg to bluff and rarely valuebet worse.

Whereas with AQ he could potentially call with worse (AsJs) and we now chop with a large part of his value range (AQ).

Yeah, I mean its such a close spot, and ofc if we had AQ we would be snap shoving here and feeling good about it. With AJ its a lot more tricky, but I think whats important to note is that we have overtaken all of the regs AK, A4s and and A6s which make up a lot of his non-drawy value range.

You say we will realise our equity if we check to reg otr, but I'm guessing hes going to shove some worse two pairs and the same hand when we check to him otr so this isnt entirely true (however we would still have to x/f if we did check to him).

I think given how much is in the pot, and given the fish could easily have made a pair ott or otr with his fds (not to mention all his Ax), means I tihnk hes got a reasonable calling range to our shove (esp consdiering how bad he is).

HI .

Wanted 2 also ask in the last hand ,how often you go check fold on the river when reg have took so strong line ? And I would rather go chek fold then bet there.  Don't know how good ore bad this is. Because i never expect the reg to bluff and rarely valuebet worse when we have a whale on the pot.

great video! :)

I wouldn't dwell on it too much as its such a close spot, but its certainly very interesting to talk about ranges and dynamics throughout the hand. Check my comment above for more info.

JJ hand was really interesting, I would definitely be auto cbetting there but I liked Ben's line so might use it in future. If the positions were different and the fish was in between us and the other reg, assuming we cbet the flop and the fish calls do you think it is a good spot for the reg to raise any overpairs that he didn't squeeze pre?

Q9 hand is ridiculous, I would be impressed if I didn't tilt pretty hard there!

Given the stack depth of the fish, in your scenario it would definitely be a good spot for the reg to raise an op. In that instance theres a reasonable chance we can get the reg to fold better and the fish to get in worse so obv its very +ev. Its a bit of a hypothetical though because in your scenario you should really be squeezing your over pairs pre to go hu with the fish.
