at 7:40 after we 3bet 77 on table 2 and check flop and turn we are obviously capped, in your position I have found myself calling down in this spot potentially too light as a result. any advice on this?
First of all: we have a high betting frequency, so villain doesnt get that often the opportunity to stab the flop. Because of that we don't have to defend 1-a.
Also when we do have a checking range we want to include some combos that can defend vs stabs by either x/rasing or x/calling. So make sure to add some combos of QJ,JT,TT-99,AK and some sets.
If flop goes check/ check we actually have a fairly low betting frequency on the turn. So a bunch of the same hands (including traps) are still checks on the turn.
I ran a sim and 77 gets folded 100% of the time vs a 65% bet. So we probably are folding vs this sizing aswell. 77 is the top of our folding range so we continue anything better.
24:30 What is your cbetting strategy on rainbow A-high boards SB vs BB?
26:10 How do you play your flushes at J97sss OOP? Do you have x/r on the flop or turn?
40:15 The same question aout cbetting strategy SB vs BB on KQ8r.
1: High betting frequency for a small sizing on a board that favours us.
2: Mostly checking this board vs tight cold calling ranges. So going to add x/raises and x/calls with flushes.
3: High frequency small bet on KQ8 rb: SB has the nut- and rangeadvantage. Great way to build the pot when having these advantages is to bet small with a big portion of the range.
I really get a lot out of your videos. Its a real help when you say hings like " I would have bluffed on these cards or on the river with x i would have" etc. Thank you for explaining future streets and possible outcomes it really has helped my game.
44 in the SB with a reg in the BB is probably a slightly losing call at 200 zoom. Without rake i'd make the call.
Being this deep is probably worse for smaller pairs because of reverse implied odds. It is way less likely we are going to stack him if we flop something good. Meaning he isn't going to stack of as lightly and when we do get all the money in it's more likely we are up vs bigger hands.
37 min first table, don't we have enough KQ,89,87,low sc to be bluffing river, certainly Ace high have showdown value and we not shoving river with every valuehand (some will go to check/shove or check/call). ? What do you do vs rec?
39min 2nd table 77, what's your calling range on the turn look like? (made hands-pairs or better)
37 min: I don't see the hand you are mentioning?
39 min: All decent flushdraws and maybe like 88+. AK,AQ with an heart might be in there vs aggro regs.
I did a quick sim: I underestimated our betting frequency on the T turn. As played A high isn't a bluff OTR. So yes you are on the right path with your bluffing combos.
Also overbet jamming isn't the right choice in GTO.
22:40 AhQc --> Is the 1/2 PSB OTF superior here to a 1/3 PSB. Does the Ah matter when we decide to bet or check?
30:40 JcJs --> In general this is a good board for the BB and we should check a lot OTF. What to do with our overpairs? Do you consider checking here or should we prefer to check KK/AA which need less protection? When we decide to bet, can we size up our bet to something like 2/3 PSB or 3/4 PSB?
33:00 AhJs --> Do you think betting whole range with a small sizing on this kinda of board is a mistake?
22:40: Yes EV is higher betting 1/2 than 1/3 pot according to PIO. We are betting about 80% of our AQ and the heart doesn't matter.
We have a larger sizing on 2 middle card boards than on dry A high boards. I did a few quick sims and on most boards it prefers 1/2 over the 1/3.
30:40 my strategy is betting most 77-QQ and checking most of my KK+ vs the average BB. This question actully inspired me to make a video about this subject vs different BB defending ranges, so i hopefully will give you a better answer in the video.
Since my betting strategy now is quite polar and our mid pairs need quite a bit of protection and can get value otf more easily i tend to bet larger.
AJ: I think the small EV loss by betting range small weighs up to the fact that the gameplan all around becomes much more simplified. So no i don't think it's a mistake.
Hey, im kind of late to a party but maybe you will still see it :).
29:56 - AThh as we are about 200bb deep, is it still normal to fold IP vs a 3b? With no CCer we are calling? (In my eyes @41:05 KTcc seems much worse to call oop, low spr - speculative K etc than to call ATs ip, deep)
37:59 A3cc, can you please elaborate why to shove this hand on the river as we have much more worse hands for shoving otr. Because a hand like 9x, 8x block his folding range? And when we check he just makes us fold our a3 with his 89?
29:56 No, it should be a call. Ccer is a rec aswell, so i don't like the fold.
37:59 Was more an exploitive shove thinking he'd overfold vs this sizing. I made a sim before of this hand and this combo is never a bet OTR and always a bet OTT.

11:16 a reg you are 200bb effective with opens 2,5x and you fold 44. Any particular reason for this?

A3s, 3bet bb vs btn. 37-38minute top-left table

Thanks a lot for the response. Would love to see more videos on 200z. The time stamp for the AJ was 33:00.
