Hey Krzysztof, how did you go about building your limp re-raising ranges for this experiment?

Krzysztof Slaski 6 years ago

Hey James.

So I thought about building limp-3betting ranges preflop before the session, but I figured most of those situations are going to be so similar to SB 3bet vs "Position X" that I can just use my SB 3betting ranges based on whatever I estimate the iso range to look like.

So to be more specific, if I got raised 4bb in the CO vs my MP2 limp, I would estimate that range to look something along the lines of HJ 2.5x open and I would use my SB 3bet vs HJ 2.5x.

The BTN vs blinds was the most tricky, because it's such a unique situation that I had no idea what people would be isolating with. I ended up deciding to just use my BB 3bet vs large size SB open.

40:00 89o hand ... I have this paranoia that people are just prepared to x/c at least two sts vs normal sizing on AJT ... do u still think 89o should be a bluff? Or they are better played passively?

Krzysztof Slaski 6 years ago

Hey G G

If your opponent is prepared to call 2 streets, you can always go for 3 : - )

I think it's a common thought process mistake to focus on the portion of opponents range that will always call when deciding whether or not to bluff, and it will cost you some good bluffing opportunities. In this specific spot my sizing was designed around my Ax hands, so getting a call from KK is expected and good for us.

It's difficult to generalize because this specific situation in the video is so unique, but I would expect a lot of players to call one street with Tx, some OESDs and gutters and even some weak Jx and fold to the second barrel, and I don't expect to see too many double checks from Ax.

Hi Krzysztof! Can you clarify what hands would be better candidates for leading turn at 10:10?

Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

Ciao

Hey Diego,

We are not gonna have that many Tx in that spot, as I would consider a T to be a strong enough hand to value bet the flop(as IP will be raising most of his Ax preflop) so we shouldn't have too aggressive of a leading strategy. We have a lot of weaker Kx that will have slightly worse showdown value we could lead, and I would lead a lot of the Qx we will check-call the flop with (This won't be many combos, since I will be betting flop with a lot of the ones containing backdoor straight and flush draws, but I think we will need to call the rest of the Qhighs).

If we start leading every non-pair we have that range will be way too weak, so we begin cutting them starting with the ones with good showdown value but not strong enough to value bet.

Hi,
on min 13', bottom right, you insta folded J8o on BB vs BTN...is this your default strategy or it has to do with villain's stack depth or his tendencies?

Krzysztof Slaski 6 years ago

Hey zache86

This hand would be borderline for me at higher stakes game (aka lesser rake). At 500 and considering BTNs stack size I think it is a pretty clear fold. I would call J9o

hey Krzysztof Slaski
great video! currently grinding 50 and 100nl

as well play a bit of 1/3 live
any advice on playing these stakes and moving up?

Krzysztof Slaski 1 year, 2 months ago

Hey TRUEPOWER ! Thank you!

I would suggest really diving in on theory and learning how the dynamics of the game work. From there you can figure out how to exploit your opponents at these stakes best, and it will come in very handy once you're playing higher to know how to play theoretically correct.

Ideally if you can find some niche strategy that nobody is implementing and get very good at it that would make you very tough to play against !

Cheers
