Low 3Straight boards are way more dangerous for overpairs and I studied that Pio Solver likes to do some X-raises on these boards with AA-KK sometimes but it will rarely do it on T73s or T95 with QQ.
When the draws are open and there are pairs as well, you print money by betting overpairs, this one must be the general approach, there is no point to allow "checks" if they call when you bet.
More of a general question here...
In general, how do you pick your stronger hands that don't need protection to check (instead of bet) to defend your checking range?
First of all if I can bet 3times for value 100% and I dont need protection I wont check, otherwise you are allowing checks and it´s always better to get value from hands than allowing checks.
There are some situations that playing balanced you wont have enough value hands to compensate all your bluffs, for example playing IP BTN vs BB on T75 + Turn 6, you did Cbet on the flop with JJ-AA, on that turn you will need to check some overpairs to play balanced and AA and KK are the best options because all of them will have similar opportunities to bet on the river again for Value but AA and KK need less protection against High Cards, I think this one is a good example of how I would pick my checks with "strong" hands.
Regarding 3 bet pot, I see pio use 1/3 or 2/3 pot as oop a lot more than 50%. General pattern is use 1/3 on dry, 2/3 on wet. Say SB 3 bet KJh vs Bn ..pio prefer to c bet 2/3 on T9c5s. Do u think 2/3 is better than 50% here? What i’m saying is population use 50% pot bet in practice a lot more than the small sizing or the bigger sizing. Do u think it’s a blunder or it does not affect EV all that much? How should one learn the “advanced” stuff, I assume u mean multiple sizing?
2/ Usually we want to play using polarized ranges and the more polarized you play the higher you want to bet! It must change on different spots obv
3/ Population use 50% but high stakes players are not using 50% anymore, The best way to learn these things it´s by reviewing boards with Pio Solver or copying the strategies of HS players. If you play perfect postflop after 50% pot on the flop it wont matter too much but of course it will be better to make sizings based on what the board needs + Range vs Range considerations.
hello again Zeros , thank you for part 2 :D
about my hands where i go for a check raise on 3bet pots ... i did it because villain have a very high bet when missed stat i and wanted to exploit that tendency by check raising, do you think its still better to just make a 75% even tho villain will turn a lot of hands into bluff there?
now about my calls vs 4bets my line of thinking with hands like JJ is that going allin pre is going to be EV+ , but is more EV+ to just call pre and play postflop vs a range that contain some bluffs that i can get more money against postflop what do you think?
1/ Yes, it´s better to bet on the flop based on the texture instead of the bet miss flop on those situations I analyzed.
2/ I think that you will have a lot of shitty situations playing postflop if you dont go all in with hands like JJ, QQ or AK playing on late positions, on some situations it will be ok to call4bet but you are doing it too much on late.
how many tables do you think i should play zeros?
i have many doubts about this , sometimes i play like 5 tables and i know im playing way better than playing 10 , but by playing 10 im probably getting more $ per hour.
probably i should go ahead and just play 5 tables even tho FR is slow and i get bored sometimes but i will play my A game all of the time.
Super difficult question, I would say with no rakeback it´s probably better to play more focus because when you play a lot of tables you have less time to think and probably you wont improve while you play and that´s a long term important factor. (rakeback players most of them are already out of Poker because of that)
Good video. Personally, I would be interested in content that addresses hero's leaks. Not sure if they exist on this site, but I have not found them yet. Lots of videos of the producer playing but something more concentrated and less varied would be of value to me. If anyone can recommend videos I am missing--I would be most thankful.
On the first hand in the video, with the turned set of 8's. Any thoughts on overbetting the river? Seems we have a reasonable amount of bluffs to balance with, and I would think v's calling range here is going to relatively static.

Hey Elías!
Why are you more of a proponent to check-raise the last hand at 34:45, than the two other previous hands (31:50 and 33:40)?
Thank you!

What visa are u on to stay so long in Japan? Thx.
Why would u prefer 75% “strong bet” than 66% bet?

Just curious.
Can you do more videos like this? Your live plays are entertaining, but this one is more helpful for all the lowstakes and live players. ;)
Fabulous video!
Your database reviees are easy yo learn from.
Maybe one day you will make another one (?)
