phil long12 years, 4 months agointeresting and pausing and going over hands in detail is good, But sometimes you keep repeating points you have gone over when talking about the same hand. For example when you were talking about calling QQ on the 6 6 3 9 4 you said about the guy having KK, AA or a missed draw A LOT
Peter J12 years, 4 months agoIn the 3 bet pot where you turn 2 pair on A432 what do you think the chances are you are beat when he checks the turn to you?
Phil; This was my first vid so was a little shaky, hopefully i dont repeat myself to much in the coming ones :)
Peter J; Pretty slim i guess but it happens.

MajaIvarsson9912 years, 4 months agoI liked the video. When Swedish players talk poker the word "like" turns into the most common one in the English language. It's cool but something to keep in mind.
The barrel-hand on KJ9ss something with ATxx was cool, good explanation.
Thought KJ87ds on the J53 rainbow board was interesting. How do you balance that though? Do you just bluff almost full pot or do you consider balance unimportant against some bumhunting weirdo?
It's nice when you mention some general reads on people at the table just to get an idea of the general gameplan. Obviously you'd pick more on Berry then Love2playU and while that can be figured out by watching a couple of hours of video anyway but it's much easier to watch the video and concentrate on what's important when you've already told us that. .
Adam Lee12 years, 4 months agoYeah I am also interested in the J53r spot as how do you balance your bet/folding and bet/jamming range. With hand like 789Tds, even with two backdoor flush draw and backdoor straight draw, do you also bet $190-ish into $210-ish and fold to jam?
solid first video. however a few things that I think you can improve on
1. the volume of your voice fluctuates a lot in this video. sometimes you mumble and sometimes you speak really loudly. this makes me have to constantly readjust the volume
2. i guess because of the down time you didn't have much to talk about but you seem to touch on a few spots where it was really basic and wasn't necessary I feel. (given this is a 5/10 video it should be more intermediate/advanced?)
ps. also it'd be helpful if you can let us know how ur HUD is laid out.
now onto the strategic questions:
particularly interested in the hand towards the end where you 3bet Berrisweets with KJ87ds and flop came J53r. you were talking about how you opted to bet 86% to give him a shove or fold scenario. I think it has a lot of merit but I'm wondering what you would do here with your b/f hands? it seems like in a vacuum your play may work the best but at the same time it will make your future bluffs more expensive in the same spot?
Liqqaa12 years, 3 months agoGreat Vid Leo! Its kind of hard when u make a video not to talk about all the spots you'll get into, like you mention some is basic. But I think it gives a better overview and fill those empty spots, I like this kind of vids better than just taking 10 ish hands from HEM and explaining those even tho its really good for some hands.
Kempe4ever12 years, 4 months agoIn your next vid could you maybe be seated at the same spot at the tables? Makes it so much easier 2 watch what you fold everywhere etc. Tack ;)
In the KJ87ds hand im kind of in the bottom of my range with going for the 86% bet size, atleast with this stacks. If we were deeper i guess i could betfold like a AKQT KQT9 typ of hands with this size since if we get peeled (moore likley to happend when we are deep) we will turn like a full wrap on some cards and the pott will be so big that we can just push him of tons of onepair type of hands with a pottbett on the turn. However since we are only a 100bb deep on this flop and have a hand that plays pretty poorly on tons of turns i like to go with this size with like bad AAxx/KKxx And onepair+runners typ of hands, i do also go with other sizes ofc but tend to use the same size with the top of my range as the b/f bottom of it. I guess this was kind of a vaccum play, i cant say i love it but i dont hate it either.
I would like to hear more discussion about A269hh hand on turn play. I usually just also chk behind in that spot but I don't know if that is the correct play. Just feels little bit wrong, also bet-calling doesnt feel so good.
jloo8712 years, 3 months agoon the 448s board where you check turn and bluff the river. Do you think it is important for us to have a strongish checking range on the turn so our that when we check like you did in the video our range is not too weak that villain can just auto bet river? also this i guess allows us to bluff rivers when check to like you did.
You said that you will be checking back a 4 on the turn, what is the weakest hand that you will check the turn with that will call a river bet? Will you be betting AAxx/Kxxx on turn? What trips are you betting and what trips are you checking?
JNandez8712 years, 3 months agoSolid first vid. Few ideas about what to talk about: - HUD / Reads, how u use them and what to look for - Table seat arrangement adjustements (what r ur adjustments because this and this player has position on u etc) - What kind of style you play in 6max? Why? What are your biggest strenghts? - Where do you see the biggest edges you gain on other players? - What are common spots you exploit from todays regulars?
Would be cool to hear your thoughts on that.
Thanks

nomercy12 years, 3 months agoHi Leo, Thanks for the fantastic video. However, I feel it a little bit intensive to follow 6 tables simultanously. I would prefer fewer tables (just 1 or 2) and hear you comment more deeply about your thinking process on every street. I think beginners like me, can get more out of videos where you discuss and describe detailed every of the decisions you made. I also wish to see in your future videos some session you played at the swedish site (svenskaspel). The players there are weaker, I think. And thereby, I hopefully can get more of how you exploit other players weakness, more clearly. Thanks and wish you a merry chrismas!
I have one question: Are you ever bet folding when you cbet 84% at 100bbs? Would you ever use that sizing with complete air? Can you give an exemple of a B/F hand on that board where you would bet 84%? Thanks
Leo Nordin12 years, 3 months agoSince all of u had like different requests and questions im going to try to answer them in one post! (:
Mikko, checking is imo the std play, works fine. Would suck to get checkraised and think the pott is a little big to bet for protection. Guess we could bet like 1/4 of the pott but is would be hard to balance imo. Checking works fine!
Junz, well it was kind of a vacuum bluff i guess and just a good spot were im fairly balanced since its hard to attack that turn. Guess im either bluffing with a Kxxx or betting a boat there, its hard to tell an exact range.
Jnandez, feel like u r asking a little much of me. Obv i could talk about some good hud setups and what to look for there! I'll keep that in mind - see u at the tbls (;
nomercy, Guess the vids kind of reflect of what i would like to watch my self if i were looking for vids. With that said i think u as a beginner maybe should start with the plo vids on a lower level and move ur self up before watching thees videos. =)
Morten, I dont think so, i use the size were im in a spot were its going to be hard to play a turn/river if i get peeled. Its almost the same as just potting it.
The question is that if you are doing this only with these type of hands and not complete air, then ppl who know this can shove really light on you when you don't bet close to full pot since you will often be polarized and have more hands that fold than one that can stack off with. In any sense this play seems to be a pure vacuum play and very unbalanced.
Leo Nordin12 years, 3 months agoWell i do go with a bunch of difference sizes on all types of boards and going 86% is one of them. I do think im overall very well balanced in the spots were i use it, as i said its like betting pott and not to many players pott/fold to often in spots like that.
Btw pac, out of curiosity what stakes do u play and where?
Just wanted to know so when talking about different sizes. On those boards, what hands are you betting and what sizes would you use?
Also, I am just your normal mid stakes grinder XD
fitzroy12 years, 2 months agoGood content Leo...one suggestion when doing a video with more than 4 tables, please indicate which table you are talking about by number. Many times I find it hard to follow the action when you hold the mouse over a table and say "the table there". It's much easier to number all the tables then refer to them as "Table 1, Table 2 etc..."
Also, to fill the downtime, I'd like to hear you discuss the worst or best hand you would take a line with in the previous hand played. For example, you called a 3b oop late in the video, I'd be curious to know in that spot what's the range of hands you are doing that with and why you don't fold or 4b it etc. And maybe what the overall gameplan is in that spot. That would fill the lag between hands I think (along with random other other "What if.." scenarios)
