Thanks for giving us some insight into your weekly routines! When planning your week out, how detailed do you go for each day? Do you plan out each hour of the day, or just X numbers of hours doing each task?
Hey matlittle, thanks for your comment! I don’t go ultra specific and try to not be overly harsh on myself. I know some people like to allocate very detailed but for myself I have found that it could be overwhelming and harm rather then help.
Other than that I just like to have an outlook of how I’d like my week to look out in terms of productivity and allocate by day accordingly. Then for that day I’d have 1-2-3 (try to not have too many) “must” accomplish things and prioritize them over everything else. Say today I want to study and work out, I’d prioritize these 2 over say grocery shopping and if I don’t have time I will order takeout or delivery from the grocery store. Basic stuff I know but I have found once my priorities are accomplished I’m satisfied with my day and myself. And I know that will get me in the right direction in the long run, day by day, step by step.
Great Video, thanks for it! I really liked that you have compiled such a big amount of info into such a brief presentation.
A few notes and questions on my part:
exposure to sunlight: a good alternative for days when there is no sun to see is a daylight lamp
vitamin/tyrosine: do you take them all year long daily or as a cure over a few weeks, then stop, then again...?
Found it also very refreshing and courageous of you to add psychedelics to your presentation :) There are still a lot of taboos around certain topics in society that are simply there for reasons that are not leading to the benefit of most people. Still anyone looking to venture in that direction should realize to treat it with a big portion of respect and reason.
Good call on daylight lamp I've read similar research especially if you have graveyard type of schedule, I'm in Colombia with a pretty big time zone shift and I can say thus far it has been a gamechanger in terms of energy levels, focus and freshness to grind in the daytime, also went back to normal circadian rhythm which has been an issue grinding in Europe.
Vitamins just to make sure the daily intake of sufficient vitamins is met especially when it comes to some days when I haven't had enough fruits or vegetables. But again, I'm no nutrition expert or anything like that, just sharing my approach and of course would like to hear from others too that is one of the reasons for creating this video. As per tyrosine, similar just for energy boost and focus again recommended by Andrew Huberman (can check it on youtube) but not a must for sure.
Psychedelics yes for sure it is considered still quite an extravagant topic but there is what to be gained there but one should proceed with caution as stated in the video but mostly I wanted to touch on being open minded and ready to explore opportunities for further self improvement in varied aspects in our life and mindset.
Hey Lachezar, thanks for sharing! Wondering how's your sauna routine like? I mean the duration for each session.
As I recently move to a new place and the condo offers a sauna room that runs 24 hours. I'm currently doing roughly 4-5 times a week before sleeping time. For each session - I'm doing 3 times * 5-8 mins. It helps sleeping quality for sure. But just wondering what are the frequencies/duration you use personally. I tried to look online but didn't find relevant resources.
Hey mx404, I would recommend just to listen to your body and if it becomes too much take a break or cut the session short. I often go for 15 mins and could do just one session post gym workout and I take a cold shower before and after the sauna as juggling hot and cold is great for our body. I could stay longer if I feel I could sustain more and it would also depend on the temperature in the sauna (they could vary quite a bit) but I try not to push myself too much as in some instances when I had gone overboard I felt dizzy and with headache afterwards. If you do cycles it is good to take a 10-15 min break in between.
Quote from a study:
"4-7 times per week at a temperature of 174 F for an average of least 20 minutes per session was associated with a 40% reduction in all-cause mortality compared to men that only used the sauna once per week."
Here are some valuable short clips where studies are discussed in relation to sauna use and cold exposure:
Thank you very much for such a detailed reply. Really appreciate it! The cold shower sounds cool, will give it a go. Will tell you how it goes, thank you again :)
