Hi, Kevin Rabichow - I like the split format—even if not fully orchestrated intentionally. Perhaps I'm being a bit egocentric here (highly likely), but I think a cool future video from you would be a post hoc analysis just like this one, but with one table of Zoom and one regular HU table. I admit that maybe that wouldn't be a great format for many people, I honestly don't know, but I really enjoy seeing the two games being played side by side and find it beneficial.
A sort of silly and n00b-ish preflop question for you: In the last hand, with AQs, you were talking about the "3bet or fold" strategy when in position and facing a RFI. I understand how AQs can fit into either a "3bet or fold" range or a flatting range there, but would a mid suited connector be a 3bet or fold even when we are employing a flatting range? Or would we ever include low or middle suited connectors (or suited aces) in our flatting range, or would those primarily function as 3bet bluffs and folds regardless of the strategy being employed?
The middle suited connectors and Axs are great hands to flat if we're allowed to play some flats. That said, if we were pure 3bet/fold in our strategy, we'd play a lower vpip overall and these hands would be the first ones to go.
Hi, great video as always!
18:45 3bet pot w aces - do You like a pot or an overbet cbet sizing on this flop? We have a reasonable range advantage and I think definitely a nut advantage. On the dynamic flops like these pio also prefers bigger cbet sizings. And I saw from other HS pros to implement huge cbet sizings in 3bet pots oop on these types of flops
29:10 J5s hand - what type of bluffs do You prefer on this river and what is your preffered sizing?
18:45 - yes, i do like this play on the texture, although I wasn't sure if AA was the correct hand for it. I actually review this hand in depth in a later video so stay tuned for the results on that!
29:10 - I'd want at least two sizes here, with the bottom of my value range being AT and the sizing for that hand class probably around 60% pot. We can put all our lowest cards into this range as they'll do a good job isolating weaker floats like KT QT J7 etc. It also seems clear to me I'll want to use some big size (150% ish? might be 200%) with JT/99/77 and a few other combos. We can use some more premium bluffs in this sizing...hands like QT or Txs w/o clubs
43min J8s vs Bit looks like slight mistake on your part. Even vs close to half pot size your hand is a defend having backdoor flush draw is pretty good here and generally possible facing range bet(?) boost your calling EV.
Interesting, I wouldn't have expected a range bet for this sizing, although I'm probably facing a super high turn cbet too if that's the case. Curious to see what you found about how the hand plays out in general - I've also marked off this hand for piosolver review in a future video (not yet recorded).
7:20 A9o hand
what do you bluff on the turn ? Do you think its a spot where we want to bet polar and avoid betting draw ? Only bet big combo draw who can call vs x r all in
43 min I found a call (slightly +ev on the flop) also in my sim which is interesting. It depends on vilain s turn barrel frec. If he barrels too much obviously your hand is a fold. Good fold against Bit2easy, I guess.
