7:45 with 54d on K94-Q-A the 1/4 pot river bluff is a very under utilized size. I would worry about a ton of Ax combos playing this way, where villain just bets range on the flop and only barrels equity on the turn. You said you don't expect AX to miss bluffs on the turn? For me personally A8-A2 would just check back and look to barrel more Jx, Tx, that has little sdv but has some equity. Quite surprised the bluff got through but mostly folding out some 77-22 hands.

Explains why I'm losing with these hands LOL. I laugh at my own pain because these are by far some of my biggest losing hands! Strategy is so equity driven that I raise preflop. often flop nothing and XF or XC-XF. Or if I do flop some back door and CB. Turn bricks and then I'm left with B-X-F. Huge leak in my game for finding air ball bluffs but also not over bluffing. I just don't understand how to implement these air ball bluffs correctly without over doing it. Kevin Rabichow

It'll take some exposure to solutions / adjustments to your intuition for sure. The main thing to keep in mind is that your range needs to bluff "enough" to keep your opponent calling, and sometimes (tight ranges, favorable board textures, etc.) this requires a lot of no-equity hands, while other times (heads up SRP, low boards, etc.) this can be accomplished mostly with equity hands.

Great series, Kevin! Shows just how tough it is to win tournies even with a chip lead when you don't win your flips.

How much do you open limp later in tournies in short stack spots (12-25bb) from non blind positions? Is it something to incorporate into your game?

Thanks!

I play limping ranges from late position around this stack depth, but much less so as you go deeper in the tourney. It's best to avoid passive pf lines as much as possible when ICM starts to kick in.
