4:20 you cbet around 2/3 pot in 3 bet pot on 952cc
20:30 you cbet a bit over 1/3 in 3 bet pot on 1062dd
I know these are slightly different spots, in hand 1 you 3 bet sb vs co, hand 2 is sb vs bu but the flop textures are fairly similar, so my question is why do you choose different sizes here?
On these textures are these your only two sizes? How often would you bet cbet 37% pot in hand 1 with your exact cards and in general? How often would you cbet 67% in hand 2 with your exact cards and in general?
if u ll not be expoited, u bet bigger if u have stronger hand and bet smaller if u have weaker hand, in hand 2# bet smaller and easy fold versus a raise .
i think it is very small ev diffense between flop bet sizes.
Couldn't find T62dd board at 20:30 to compare but 4:20 spot is typical where we wanna create comfort spr for turn playability (in this case around 2) to make it easy to just pot gii with most of our overpairs/flushdraws etc)
Hi Joni, would you mind explaining a bit why an SPR of about 2 on the turn is so favourable. Is it simply because we can put villain in a terrible spot by potting and being more or less committed on the turn? If the SPR was more we wouldn't be able to apply as much pressure?
Joni Jouhkimainen Really good content. 19 minutes table 1. Do you think after this checks through you have multiple size leads with the nuts multi-way? Or always potting? I always feel like I'm not balancing my bluff sizing multi-way with enough full pot bets trying to take advantage of the combined MDF, so in return I think I backwards adjust to myself by not potting this spot enough.
Hey, 18:50 3b pot, you decide to bet when checked to on the BTN with KT99 Thigh clubs on 246cc.
I presume you fold to check raise? What do we accomplish with this bet??
I guess betting small and checking turn gives us cheap way to reach the river and if opponent just check calls, that kind a defines more his range. Just we have to avoid the CR. It makes hand easier to play.
I kind a don't like betting here. Thing is he can CR with AA+nfd.. or 578A with 8high FD. I guess also 5678 wihtout FD. Our equity vs CR range is bad due to domination and the range being weighted towards AA+nfd. But on the other hand we still have good equity vs other parts of the range - what I mentioned + naked higher flush draws. We have 2 gin cards (9's).
We have a pair +fd which makes his non-pair overcard hands worse. So checking doesn't give up too much. We have advantage in nutiness but not sure what % of our range really hits this bord. We are not playing all 22 an 44 and even 66/35 combos.
To me its seems like that we should be betting similiar hands with no pair, which can be easily folded to a CR. But I'm not sure:)
Thoughts?
This is mostly range-bet since he misses this board a lot and versus checkraises we are not going to fold too much eq since he pretty much always has higher FD+pair/gutter. I know this selected hand seems awkward to bet but I'd like to bet majority of hands here especially w EQ if getting called.

sorry the 1062hh is at 6min when you 3 bet AKQ9dd
great video I was thinking lot about 3 bet pots as aggressor from blinds and you had a lot of them
Stackdepth is different in these two spots and as you can see I adjusted in flop sizing to create turn SPR of ~2 on both.

awesome thanks makes sense

In this texture where nuts/other good hands need a lot of protection I'd like to use only big bets and mostly full pot.

Thanks for the video!
Personally I think 3 tables fast forward is a bit too much for a video. Hard to go very into depth in certain spots. Two tables would be better imho.
Excellent content. I picked up alot of things to improve and you explained the situations very well. Thanks for sharing!
Good 1. Like to see some more high stakes ones from you as well. Like your videos.
