First off welcome back!

I've said it in a few comments lately; however it's funny today, in the past few days I've lost ~50% of what I won this month. I think it would be easy for an older version of me to either just take unplanned time off (which I actually don't inherently crave and think is actually more a sign of admitting defeat) or worse implode by spamming long hours and make this much worse.

Before you even got to the section about gratitude I was already thinking about how thankful I was that despite results suffering the past few days that I've made pretty significant strides in being more mindful of and using my time better, making sure I was getting more out of my study, and balancing work with wellness this month. I think there's a lot of components that go into many skills/successes we develop and I can certainly see how being grateful can help with patience maybe in times when it's not the most easy. I'll give some of these other exercises a try, and also am liking thinking of many of these soft skills as attributes to try and improve (kind of like a video game character ;) ).

Anyway enjoyed the video and need to keep moving but thanks for this!

I love looking back at the past achievements the most.
This year already:
-got out of depression
-improved relationships with children alot
-picked up poker again
-won lot of money in FLHE
-moved fully to NLHE
-finished a small business school
-launched a gamedev business
-moved fully together with wife

This is really helpful. In the past I only used to look at my poker graph for this type of patience/good feeling.

Jan,
Great video. I like the topic as well as the exercises to achieve or move towards being more patient. I utilize the third method of putting yourself into situations where you will become impatient and then deal with it. This seems to work the best for me because it feels like I am reprogramming my behavior, whether it is patience or anything else, putting yourself into those situations and approaching them differently than you have in the past seems to work very well.
Thank Jan.
