POSTED Jul 13, 2022

Ivan Banic continues the analysis of his deep run in a $109 PKO event covering the late stage action of the tournament. With stacks getting short, Ivan gets a chance to share his advice for how to split your preflop ranges between flatting, 3-betting and shoving in different situations.

Great video!

13:53 you said you would bet river if checked to. Isn't it too thin? Are you targeting ax or maybe a 2x?

36:00 it seems like your rng is really capped and that bluffing here would be hard. I would think most of our value rng would be 66 55 type hands which would be a smaller river bet rather than 2/3 and so we would use that size for bluffs too.

37:55 if stacks were 20bb instead and you faced an open with 77 88 99 how do you play those spots? Are we looking to 3bet/call?

Thanks!

13:53 SB should have some traps, but most 1p should bet at some point, so most 3x (esp ones with kicker) should be good enough to bet for value. And correct targeting 2x and Ax as well as weaker 3x

36:00 if your value range would only include weaker value bets, I think sizing down makes sense

37:55 those are tough ones to play. I think we mix all options, but mostly call or fold
