Your play hand 2 is correct, but I want to point out that options 4 and 5 do not cost the same amount. When you 4! the turn your opponent can 5!. Even if he doesn't, he can lead river. This is why calldown and bet if checked to is correct.

87532 is too good to break pre. It's too easy for someone to have a 76-draw or a straight-6 draw and have limited outs. Yes, if you somehow knew that both players had 3 ranks to beat you then breaking for the wheel is probably correct but there are way too many hands that are only drawing to 2 ranks.

Hand 3 you had 87632. That means you could also have had 87542 and perhaps 87642. His pat MIGHT be right, but also MIGHT be wrong. I definitely wouldn't call myself a math-oriented player but this is a clear spot where you can show the math of breaking vs patting. Show your work.

Also, with a side pot, I don't understand why you would check the turn there with Scott still drawing. If you're gonna pat the worst hand for the main at least gain some value on the side.

If I bet the turn and pat, yes i gain some EV from Scott, but i lose the big main pot for sure, so i (still) prefer drawing and checking. And yes, we/I can break down that hand more in depth, but it will take too much time, and dont think anybody is interested to see a 1hr video focusing on a single hand. But if I/we get others to request that i might do that :)

Also this is not a common spot, so i think players, (both beginners/advanced players) benefit more to study more common spots, which happens more often

Excellent video!

38:25 so would Scott's best play on the end be to xc and hope you try to bluff or vbet an 87? It doesn't seem like a good spot for you to bluff and you probably chk nack all 87s right?

Thanks!

That hand is really complicated... I still stand by that i think oop prefers to check the river so i agree with you. Because he doesnt have any bluffs... I (snap) folded my hand (23678) But if i make a better hand that this, a smooth 875, or worse 86 that he has, then probably i still bet. But this is a tough hand...The problem is that both oop/IP doesnt have too many, if any bluffs here because of the very small side pot
