Great analysis and very helpful for someone learning the game with a wide range of situations discussed. More like this. Can you give a quick run down in comments re: opening ranges from each position 6 handed for deeper stacks, 20BB, and 10BB situations? Is 3-3.5x opening size appropriate for all stack depths in a tournament for 2-7 NL?
Opening ranges for 20bb/10bb for every position might need a video :) Can't give you a quick answer, and a lot of depends on other situations (how many players at the table, ante size, how many players folded, etc...)
About sizing:
With deeper stacks the 3-3,5x size is ok. But with 10-25bb stacks that's too high and would definately lower my opening size a little. Also with 10bb might shove some hands. That's also a complicated topic.
If you have any specific hand feel free to ask and maybe i can aswer that better :)
You mention several plays where Negreanu was raising light. That used to be standard play like in tournaments in NLHE, limit games, etc., particularly with a bigger stack, to steal the blinds and/or antes, as people would play too tight due to ICM, not being used to playing for that much money, etc.If they called, they might make tight folds on later streets or other mistakes. Maybe it is not good at this table at these stakes. However, there is method to the madness.
First hand you said that if negreanu calls and faces a jam he should call. If he faces a big 3bet jam he is likely against a pat hand and possibly 2 pat hands. With only 1 draw even a premium 1 card 7 seems to be in trouble and we risk our tourney life or a lot of our stack with just one shot at a draw. Is that worth it?
31:10 you said in pat-1 spot we should bluff lowest pair and 1-1 spot we bluff highest pair. Why is that?
43:00 you talked about negreanu having to fold an unbreakable j to a 3bet. In 3 handed wide rng spots isn't a j high up in our rng and can be a bluff catcher?
Same hand, can nakamura pat the q if he thinks negreanu is very wide or should he always discard the q?
Are we always calling 3bets with good 1 card 8 and 9 draws even vs ep?
I know this is a very general question, but how light can we go with value bets post draw? Any 7, 8, 9 and better tens?
Are there any general 3bet rules? Like in 2-7td we always 3bet 1 card draws and 3bet 2 card draws vs lp. In badugi we 3bet 1 card draws vs lp but can call vs ep. Should we be 3betting 1 card draws vs ep, mp or lp in nl 2-7?
-He will only risk ~35% of his stack, so i would call. There might some spot where i fold a premium 7draw pre, but if i get reshoved here i wouldnt. Not a fun spot, and maybe shove can be okay, since he can get folds from like weak pat T's, that might reshove and he will have like ~40% against that. But overall i still would like a call little better
-31:10:
In 1:1 spot with a low pair we will have SD value and also a bluffcatcher. I'am more likely to call with 2347-2, then with 2347-A since with 22 i am blocking some value hands (if opponent started with 8653, he has one less deuce to catch and valuebet). Also it can win in a c-check line because villain shouldn't (over)bluff 2nd/3rd pair (like 3458-4).
That's why we are using the highest pair to bluff, because it doesnt have any showdown value in a 1:1 spot and would be a disaster to check 9742-7, and lose against 8653-5, or 9764-6, etc.
However in a 1:pat spot we have 0 SD value. And here against a pat hand the low cards/low pairs blocks more better hands for the opponents. It might some better to block like 88/99, because then will more likely have a pat T/J. But low pairs are still better. The top 8hands (23457-24568) in 2-7 triple draw hands have a deuce in it! That's why it's better to block 22, and not like 77/88 in a 1:pat spot

Negreanue is deep vs Nakamura and the hand it's only predraw. With an unbreakable Jack he just has to fold. The concept that you are referring doesnt applies here. It would be different if let's say SB calls/BB calls and it goes 1:pat, and we have like J6543. Yes we have a weak bluffcatcher, but we have a lot of other weaker pat hands (JTxxx, J9xxx, some QJxxx, QTxxx as pat hands), so there he can consider to call because he is high in his range (but against some players who underbluff he can still consider to fold)
-Nakamura should never ever pat the Queen. He is OOP with one draw /betting round to go. I wouldn't even pat a J8743. For playability it's better to break. It would be different is Nakamura is IP vs 2card draw. But here he is OOP, and Negreanue isn't calling a 3bet with 2card draw, or with very weak 1c draw (like T954)
-I know this is a very general question, but how light can we go with value bets post draw? Any 7, 8, 9 and better tens?
Yes, thats too general, and it depends a lot on the circumtances. Stack sizes, how many players in the pot. How big antes (so how wide player's ranges are). Openers position. Caller position. HU/multiway. How much villain discarded, etc,etc....
-About 3betting there aren't that general 3bet rules like in 2-7td. It also depends a lot on the situation. There is some situation when i am calling 2567, but in other sitatuion i would 3bet T863...
Thanks for the very thorough reply. If you are making it out to wsop this year good luck! I am playing my first ever mixed game bracelet event this year.

Really got a lot out of this video!
