iteoepepe88 uses the WSOP final table to discuss the nuance of stud and mixes in a bit of ICM and tournament strategy while also suggesting how he would approach the hands if they were playing a cash game instead of a tournament.

People play nitty late in tournaments, but that fold of aces and a flush draw by Chen on 6th street was just terrible. He could have completed with an ace and still had no pair. He was 44% against the actual kings up. Of course he could be ahead or drawing dead.

Good content as always. Question on the Hellmuth complete at 44:52. Seems like he should be playing a bit tighter with Jack still in the tournament. Reasonable that A is still 100% open, but what is the lowest door you think we should no longer open 100%?

Are you talking the hand at 46:52, right?
This can be a tricky spot dut to ICM...
Normally with the Ace he can open and should open 100% against the 2

It can change even against a 3 or 4 door card if we have undercard.
E.g. we have T3-A against a 4, only 2 overcards.
This is still a mandatory open early stages/cash game, maybe due to ICM he can tighten up with these?

To be honest i am not sure and i would still open that hand.

But we can definately fold 64-A vs a 7 (although i can see reasons to open this too...5handed, more antes, we can just raise-fold, and if we win the pot 50% here we immediately gain profit...

He is risking 30k, to win 40k.
It depends also on the bringin, how wide he continue, what he thinks about us, do we open 100% A vs 7 (with the 2nd shorter stack), etc....
