Regarding the AQ hand at ~17:30, I think betting flop and betting most turns is a good line. Yeah his preflop range should be narrow but it's also capped (no AK, AA) and very pocket pair heavy and those hands will probably call flop and fold turn. Also pretty bad to flat 66 or 22 in his spot (though he might) so I think we just need to be betting our hand with this range advantage.
So your push with ATs vs. the BTN 3-bet: Is this basically because you put him on air or on a squeeze attempt? We don't want a call there I guess so it's intended as a steal? Seems to me just a bit overplayed I maybe would lay ATs down there a lot of times.
Great video. Would you be able to give me/us some advice on how to construct appropriate ranges as per the first hand in the video, please? I'm trying to break down our range versus the BTN open into these categories: 1) Hands we 3bet for value and can happily call a 4bet; 2) hands we are 3bet bluffing and will therefore fold to a 4bet; 3) hands of medium strength that we are just jamming; and 4) hands we will just flat. Is that about right? And so what range can we put in each category? e.g. 1) AQ+,88+ 2) e.g. A2o,96s,K9o 3) 22-77 and 4) suited connectors and suited broadways. What do you think?
Prisonmike, I agree he won't have AK, but I think he may be scared of 3b AA/KK and looking too strong so could have flatted these. I agree his average hand is somewhere around 99/TT so barreling off is certainly fine.
eddy/msusyr, I think peeling suited connectors is fine here, but with broadways and 22x I'd lean towards jamming.
klondike, VPIP/PFR/3b/hands (line 2) c-bet/fold to c-bet/steal/WTSD (sorry)
nacekk, agree it was probably overplayed, but I felt his squeeze spot was just too good for me to give him credit.
jamo, good question and this is certainly very tournament/bubble/stack/villain dependent, but with 22x v but in general my ranges would be something like 1)A9s+77+ 2)agree with yours 3)22-66, most broadways 4)suited cons, some broadways, AA/KK perhaps.

0:35 - don't you think you would be defending a tonne of suited connectory and broadway hands rather than jamming here?

Hi guys, sorry for the delay!
